Nieblas, Motor Officer, for a period <br />of six months, was read. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and <br />carried, communication was received a~ filed &nd <br />appointments approved. <br /> <br />Copy of communication from Roger Dunning, addressed to <br />Civil Service Board, requesting a leave of absence for <br />ninety days, beginning October 1st, 1947, was read and <br />on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and <br />carried, request for leave of absence was granted. <br /> <br />Communication from City Engineer advising that street <br />improvements on llth Street within the boundaries of <br />Tract No. 1176 have been completed, was read and on <br />motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Mandy and <br />carried, Clerk was authorized to release-bond of Wm. M. <br />Ryals, in the amount of $?,500.00, covering improvements <br />in said Tract. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />Communication from Joel E. 0gle, County Counsel request- <br />ing authorization from Council to install venetian <br />blinds in rooms leased by County of Orange at Community <br />Center Building, was read. <br /> <br />0n motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Mandy and <br />carried, request was approved and City Attorney instruc' <br />to prepare amendment to lease granting such permission <br />and incorporate therein provision that property be <br />restored to original condition at termination of lease. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />· On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and <br /> carried, communication from Metropolitan Water District <br /> together with tabulation showing the assessed valuatior <br /> of each of the municipalities constituting a district <br /> as of August 15th, 1947, were received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Mandy and <br />carried, communication from H.M.Neighbour, Water Super- <br />intendent, recommending that prices of water services be <br />increased, was referred to Water Commissioner for <br />investigation and recommendation. <br /> <br />.d <br /> <br /> <br />
