Co, <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />R.W.Bales - <br /> <br />cost of removing serv. <br />station & Rfit~A~eemeng <br />SN cot. 1st & Flower <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Beverage <br /> <br />Applications <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and <br />carried, communication from Real Estate Division, War <br />Department, Corps of Engineers, advising that Lease <br /> <br />W 809-eng-1829, between the United States Government <br />and the City of Santa Ana, covering approximately <br />acres of land, located in Orange County, used in <br />connection with Santa Aha Army Air Base, has been <br />transferred from the War Department to the War Assets <br />Administration, effective June 23rd, 1947, was received <br />and filed. <br /> <br />On motibn of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and <br />carried, communication from Acting Deputy Administratorj <br />advising of necessity for closing of Veterans <br />Administration office in Santa Aha, effective Sept. <br />26th, 1947, was received and filed. <br /> <br />Communication from Pacific Telephone'and Telegraph Co., <br />reference to property owned by City located north of <br />Santa Clara Street between Main Street and Highway 101 <br />and described as the southerly 0.899 acres of the <br />northerly 6.80 acres, northeasterly of the boulevard, <br />except the street of the Potts, Borden & Sidwell Tract, <br />requesting permission to place a wire and pipe at a <br />minimum depth of six feet on this property in order to <br />provide electrolysis and corrosion protection for <br /> <br />Los Angeles, Anaheim, Santa Ana underground toll cable <br />which is located on the east side of Main Street, was <br />read. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and <br />carried, matter was referred to City Attorney for <br />recommendation and to include revocation clause for <br />City's protection covering this installation and to <br />report back at the next meeting of the Council. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the City Engineer and on motion of <br />Trustee Cheney, seconded by Chandler and carried, <br />warrant was ordered drawn in favor of R.W.Bales, in the <br />amount of $2,9?8.8§, to cover the cost of right-of-way <br />agreement and removal of service station at southwest <br />corner of First and Flower Streets. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and carrie~ <br />notifications of the State Board of Equalization of <br />alcoholic beverage applications made by Emory G. and <br />Edna H. Robinette, dba Pantry Cafe, 218 Bush St., Ivan <br />L. Brooks and Hildreth V. Houck, dba Six-Sixteen Cafe, <br />616 E. 4th St., and Charles E. and Vivian S.Stanfield, <br />Harry W. Bene, Myrtle A. Bene, 408 So. Main St., were <br />received and filed. <br /> <br /> <br />
