360 <br /> <br />Council Chamber <br /> <br />Santa Ana City Hall <br /> <br />April 7th, 1947. 7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />City Council met in regular session. <br /> <br />Meeting called to order by Mayor Hoffman. <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Trustees W. Eugene Dixon, Dale G. Deckert, <br /> W.J.Cheney, Asa Hoffman. <br /> <br />Absent: Trustees Otto H. Haan <br /> <br />The Clerk commenced the reading of the Minutes and each <br />member of the City Council having received copies of the <br />Minutes of March 17th and March 24th, 1947, further <br />reading of the Minutes w~s dispensed with and approved on <br />motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Deckert and carried. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Joint Outfall Sewer <br /> <br />Minutes <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Storm sewers <br /> <br />Santa Ana Delhi <br /> <br />Drainage Ditch <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Deckert and <br />carried, Minutes of the Executive Board of the Joint <br />0utfall Sewer meeting held at Anaheim March 13th, 1947, <br />was received and adopted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, communication from Flood Control Engineer, <br />together with Minute Order of the Board of Supervisors <br />wherein the Orange County Flood Control Right of Way <br />Agent was instructed to continue at once to obtain the <br />necessary rights ofway for the Santa Ana Delhi Drainage <br />Ditch, was received, filed and acknowledged. <br /> <br />In He <br /> <br />Communi cat ion <br /> <br />Civic Day <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Installation of light <br /> <br />S.A.Blvd & Chapman <br /> <br />Communication from Medlis Main requesting that April <br /> <br />21st, 1947 be designated as Civic Day for De Molay <br /> <br />Chapter was read, and on motion of Trustee Deckert, <br /> <br />seconded by Cheney and carried, request was granted and <br />Clerk to so notify Mr. Main. <br /> <br />Communication from City Engineer stating that he author- <br />ized the Edison Co. to install a 6000 lumen light on the <br />Edison pole at the southeast corner of the intersection <br />of Chapman Ave. and Santa Ana Blvd., was read and on <br />motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Deckert and <br />carried, action of the City Engineer was ratified. <br /> <br />In He <br /> <br />I~equest <br /> <br />M. hltiste ~ Co. <br /> <br />In he <br /> <br />bequest <br /> <br />,-Wal~r Theatre <br /> <br />Inc. <br /> <br />Request of M. Inc. that a cross-walk be <br />painted and slow signs placed to warn and govern traffic <br />at alley from 4th and 5th running French to Mortimer, was <br />read and on motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Dixon <br />and carried, matter was referred to City Engineer and <br />Street Commissioner with power to act. <br /> <br />Communication from Walker Theatre requesting that bus <br />loading zone at 3rd and Bush Streets be moved around the <br />corner on Bush Street between the white zone and the <br />driveway and that parking meter on Third Street, next <br /> <br /> <br />
