Parks, Architect, <br />for proposed fire station, was received and filed and <br />Clerk instructed to acknowledge communication. <br /> <br />Communication from George Bradley, former City Attorney, <br />stating his willingness to act as special counsel in the <br />action of Edward D. Wheeler against the City of Santa <br />Ana, £or a fee of $850.00, was read. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and <br />carried, George Bradley was retained as special counsel <br />until completion of the Wheeler case. <br /> <br />Communication from Robert I. Heydon suggesting that City <br />alter the electrical wiring circuit leading to the <br />Community Center Canteen on Nest 8th St., was read. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and <br />carried, communication was received and filed and Clerk <br />instructed to advise Mr. Heydon that under terms of his <br />lease with the City of Santa Ana any improvements or <br />changes must be made by him, at his own expense, and <br />before making such improvements or changes to communtcat, <br />with Committee in charge. <br /> <br />Communication from The National Federation of the Blind <br />requesting that May 15th to May 21st, 1947 be declared <br />as "White Ca~e Week", wa8 read. <br /> <br />On motion of T~ustee Mandy, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, communication was received and filed and Clerk <br />instructed to advise that City of Santa Aha does not <br />wish %o endorse this campaign as all efforts are devoted <br />to our local charities. <br /> <br />Communication from Blind Sightsaving Foundation request- <br />ing permission to sell tickets in Santa Aha for the <br />benefit and welfare of blind persons, was read. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, communication was received and filed and <br /> <br />Clerk instructed to advise that City of Santa Ana does <br />not wish to endorse this campaign as all efforts are <br /> <br /> <br />
