Gross appeared before the Council requesting <br />that action be taken on his request for additional <br />salary, of $16.00 per month, due him since he returned <br />from the armed forces. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Deckert, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the Auditor was instructed to pay Chester S. <br />Gross and Thomas Kinney $15·00 per month additional <br />salary due them from the time they returned to the <br />employ of the City of Santa Asa in the Police Department. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dixon, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, the City Council adjourned. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />Dept. of Motor Vehicles <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />American Red Cross <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Communication <br /> <br />Residents 21~0 Block <br /> <br />So. Van Ness <br /> <br />Council Chamber <br /> <br />Santa Asa City Hall <br /> <br />January 20th, 1947 <br /> <br />7:30 P.M. <br /> <br />Om motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Dixon and <br />carried, communication from Department of Motor Vehicles <br />extending thanks for use of quarters in which to conduct <br />driver license examinations in Santa Asa, w%e received <br />and filed. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Haan, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, communication from American Red Cross extending <br />thanks for the assignment of the extra building outside <br />at 1104 West 8th St., and for the designation of the <br />Recreation Hall (formerly Officers' Mess), as an <br />official Red Cross shelter, was received and filed. <br /> <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of T~ustee Chancy, seconded by Dixon'and <br />carried, communication from property owners and residents <br />expressing appreciation for action in expediting the <br />street paving of the 2100 block of South Van Ness Street, <br />was received and filed· <br /> <br /> <br />
