Saxton to drive bus, were granted ~nd Clerk <br /> <br />authorized to issue licenses. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and <br />carried, application of Hershall Norvell Beadles to <br />drive taxicabs for Rainbow Cab, was denied and Clerk <br />instructed to refund license fee in the amount of $3.00. <br />,, <br /> <br />A petition was read from Don C. Lundy and Zellah J. <br />Lundy requesting that alleyway located between the <br />property described as French St. Tract, Lot l, Block 3, <br />and French St. Tract, west 40 ft. Lot 2, Block 3, be <br />closed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and <br />carried, matter was referred to Trustee Cheney and City <br />Engineer to report back at the next meeting. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Reed and <br />carried, request of W.J. Cheney for permission to leave <br />the State for two weeks, beginning May 23rd, was <br />grant ed. <br /> <br />Communication from Hockaday & Phillips, Inc. requesting <br />two loading zones in front of their building on Spurgeon <br />Street and installation of 24 minute parking meters, <br />was reade <br /> <br />On ~ecommendation of the City Engineer and on motion of <br />Trustee Cheney, seconded by Mandy and carried, the <br />following Resolution entitled: <br /> <br /> "Resolution Concerning Parking Limitations <br /> Under Ordinance No. 1030" <br /> <br />establishing a loading zone on the east side of Spurgeon <br />St. between 2nd and Third Sts., located as follows: the <br />north 21 ft. of the south 46 ft., and on the north side <br />of 2nd St. between Spurgeon and French Sts. located as <br />follows: the west 20 feet, was introduced, read, <br />considered, designated Resolution No. 3563 and passed <br />by the following vote: <br /> <br /> Ayes, Trustees W.J. Cheney, Courtney R. Chandler, <br /> Allen A. Mandy, Virgil H. Reed, <br /> R. Carson Smith. <br /> <br />Noes, <br /> <br />Absent, <br /> <br />Trustees None <br /> <br />Trustees None <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and <br />carried, agreement between City of Santa Aha and Thatcher <br />and Holllngsworth covering erection of an electric sign <br />at 626 W. l?th St. which would extend over the 15 ft. <br /> <br /> <br />
