Co. <br /> <br />In Re <br /> <br />Request <br /> <br />Paul Gustlin <br /> <br /> In Re <br /> <br />· xtension of time <br />City Sales Tax <br />Richfield Oil Co. <br /> <br />Communication from President, National Safety Council, <br />requesting help of all Mayors in holiday accident <br />prevention campaign, was read. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Cheney and <br />carried, Mayor was authorized to issue proclamation, <br />through the press, urging the public to drive carefully <br />over the Fourth of July holiday. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and <br />carried, Minutes of the Executive Board of the Joint <br />0utfall Sewer meeting held at Anaheim, June 5th, 1947, <br />were approved, received and filed. <br /> <br />Communication from Building Inspector advising that <br />partition in Fire Station #4, located at 625 Cypress Ave <br />may be removed at a minimum cost, was read and on motio~ <br />of Trustee Mandy, seconded by Chandler and carried, <br />communication was received and filed. <br /> <br />. <br /> <br />Copy of communication from Chief of Fire Department <br />advising of various appointments of employees in the <br />Fire Department, was read and on motion of Trustee Reed <br />seconded by Mandy and carried, communication was <br />received and filed. <br /> <br />Communication from Vice-Consul of Mexico advising that <br />Consular Agency has been closed and all matters pertain <br />lng to this office will be handled by the Mexican <br />Consulate General, 255 Pan-American Building, Los Angele <br />was read and on motion of Trustee Cheney, eeconded by <br />Reed and carried, communication was received and filed. <br /> <br />Communication from Vice-President and General Manager, <br />Pacific Telephone and Telegraph Co., commending <br />the Police Department, especially Chief of Police, B.A. <br />Hershey, for their cooperation during recent telephone <br />strike, was read and on motion of Trustee Mandy, seconde <br />by Chandler and carried, communication was received and <br />filed. <br /> <br />Request of Paul Gustlin for permission to erect a wood <br />sign on roof of Kilroy House in Santiago Park, was read. <br />On motion of Trustee Cheney, seconded by Reed and <br />carried, matter was referred to Park Buperintendent and <br />Park Commissioner with power to act. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Mandy and carried <br />request of Richfield 0il Corp. for extension of time to <br />the 50th of the month following the quarter for which <br />sales tax is due and payable, was granted and Clerk <br /> <br /> <br />
