RESOLUTION NO. 55-118 GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION <br />TO CITY OF SANTA ANA OF THAT CERTAIN UNINHABITED TERRITORY <br />DESCRIBED HEREIN AND DESIGNA'£'~ "ENGLISH ANNEX", AND GIVING <br />NOTICE OF TI~E AND PLACE FOR HEARING OF PROTEETS THERETO <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Boundary Commission of Orange County~ California, has approved <br />the description of certain real property as herein set out for the purpose of an- <br />nexation and the Planning Comm~ ssion of Santa Ana has approved the annexation of <br />said territory; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the owners of said real property have filed a petition with the <br />Clerk of the Council, requesting that the City of Santa Ana, California, annex <br />said real property, stating that the same is uninhabited, consenting in writing <br />that said real property may be taxed to pay any indebtedness or liability of said <br />City contracted prior to such annexation; <br /> <br /> NOW~ THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Aha hereby declares its intention to annex all of said territory under the <br />provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 and finds and <br />hereby declares that said territory is deemed uninhabited since it had less than <br />12 registered voters residing in it on April 27, 1955, the date when said petition <br />was filed, that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana, California, <br />lies in the County of Orange, and is described as: <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point in the monumented center line of King Street, <br /> as shown on a map of Tract No. 1788, recorded in Book 52, at page <br /> 17 of Miscellaneous Maps, records of Orange County, California, <br /> said point being at the intersection of said monumented center line <br /> of King Street with the North line or the Easterly extension thereof <br /> of said Tract No. 1788, said point being an angle point in the West- <br /> erly City Limit of the City of Santa Ana; thence South 89° 46' 30" <br /> West 683.88 feet to a point in the Easterly right of way line of the <br /> Santa Ana River through the Newbert Protection District; thence <br /> North 34° 48' 00" East along said Easterly line, 985.77 feet to a <br /> point in the North line of Seventeenth Street, 80.00 feet wide; <br /> thence North 89° 15' hO" East along said North line, 5~8.75 feet to <br /> a point in the Northeasterly extension of said monumented center <br /> line of King Street; thence South 27° 42' 30" West, along said ex- <br /> tension and center line, 919.26 feet to the point of beginning. <br /> <br /> All bearings and distances are as shown on a licensed surveyor's map <br /> filed in Book 2~, page 16, of Records of Survey in the office of the <br /> County Recorder of Orange County, California. <br /> <br /> Tb~t said Council hereby designated "~tuLISH ANNEX"as an appropriate name <br />for said annexation. <br /> <br /> That said Council hereby declares its intention to and it will annex said <br />territory to and include it within the Santa Ana Elementary School District, <br /> <br /> <br />
