RESOLUTION NO. 55-131 ACCEPTING GRANT DEED WHEREAS, RODGERR. ENGEL, a married man, and EVERETT R. ENGEL, a married man, have presented to the City Council a grant deed, dated April 26, 1955, conveying property in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: An easement for sanitary sewer purposes over the West 15 feet of the East 670 feet, measured at right angles from the center line of Main Street, of the following described land: All that certain real property situated in the City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows: Twelve acres off the North side of the following: Beginning at the Northeast corner of land set apart to William Ferguson in the partition of the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana, by the late 17th Judicial Court in and for Los Angeles County, California, and running thence North 10,035 chains; thence West 27.60 chains to the East line of the Southern Pacific Railroad reservation; thence Southeasterly along the Easterly line of said railroad reservation to a point 20 chains West of the point of beginning; thence East 20 chains to the point of beginning; EXCEPTING THEREFROM any portion thereof included within the following: Beginning at a point 174.1 feet North of the Northeast corner of the land allotted to said William Ferguson; running thence North 179 feet; thence West 1587.8 feet to the East line of the railroad reser- vation; thence Southeasterly along the East line of said railroad re- servation 225 feet to the Northwest corner of the land conveyed to W. J. Hole by deed recorded September ll, 189h, in book 102, page 12B, Deeds, records of said Orange County; thence East 1452 feet to the point of beginning; ALSO EXCEPTING THEREFROM the portion included within the following: Beginning at a point l0 chains West of a point l0 Chains North of the Northeast corner of the tract of land allotted to said William Ferguson and running thence North l0 chains; thence West 5 chains; thence South l0 chains and thence East 5 chains to the point of be- ginning. RESERVING unto the Grantors, their heirs and assigns the non-exclusive right to connect to and use said Sanitary Sewer for disposal of domestic sewage without the payment of any part of the cost of installing said Sanitary Sewer, which said right is the consideration for this grant in lieu of any cash consideration. NOW, THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED: That the City of Santa Aha accepts said deed and the Clerk of the Council is hereby instructed to cause said deed to be recorded with the County Recorder of Orange County, California.
