RESOLUTION NO. ~ $--I~GIVING NOTICE OF PROPOSED ANNEXATION <br />TO CITY OF SANTA ANA OF THAT CERTAIN UNINHABIT~3 TEP~ITORY <br />DESCRIBED HEREIN AND DESIGNATED "HOBART STREET ANNEX", AND <br />GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AND PIACE FOR HEARING OF PROTESTS <br /> <br />WitEREAS, the Boundary Commission of Orange County, California, has approved <br /> <br />the description of certain real property as herein set out for the purpose of <br /> <br />annexation and the Planning Commission of Santa Ana has approved the annexation <br /> <br />of said territory; and <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the owners of said reel property have filed a petition with the <br /> <br />Clerk of the Council, requesting that the City of Santa Aha, California, annex <br /> <br />said real property, stating that the same is uninhabited, consenting in writing <br /> <br />that said real property may be taxed to pay any indebtedness or liability of said <br /> <br />City contracted prior to such annexation; <br /> <br />NOW, T~RE~ BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Coundil of the City of <br /> <br />Santa Aha hereby declares its intention to annex all of said territory under the <br /> <br />provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 and finds and <br /> <br />hereby declares that said territory is deemed uninhabited since it had less than <br /> <br />12 registered voters residing in it on May 13, 1955, the date when said petition <br /> <br />was filed, that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana, California, <br /> <br />lies in the County of Orange, and is described as: <br /> <br /> That portion of the land allotted to F. W. Koll in a partition of <br />the Rancho Santiago de Santa Ana, recorded in Book B of Judgments of <br />the 17th Judicial Court of Los Angeles County, State of California, <br />in the County of Orange, State of California~ described as follows: <br /> <br /> ~eginning at a point in the Westerly line of the Pacific Electric <br />Railroad right of way, 40 feet in width, as shown on a Record of Survey <br />recorded in Book 9, Page 13, filed in the office of the County Re- <br />corder of Orange County, distant thereon North 0° 32' 37" East 0.3? <br />feet from the Easterly prolongation of the center line of Hobart Street, <br />said point being also a point ~n the Easterly line of Tract No. 266, <br />as recorded in Book 13, page 39, of Miscellaneous Maps of said County, <br />said point being also a point in the boundary line of the City of Santa <br />Ana; thence Northerly along said Easterly line of said Tract No. 266, <br />said line being also a portion of the boundary line of said City of <br />SantaAna North 0° 32' 37" East 324.43 feet; thence Easterly along <br />said boundary line of said City of Santa Ana North 89° 09' 39" East <br />2187.35 feet to a point in the Easterly line of Standard Avenue, 60 <br />feet in width; thence leaving said boundary line of said City of <br />Santa ADA 8outherly along said Easterly line of said Standard Avenue <br />South 0° 34' 13" West 327.8~ feet; thence Westerly parallel to the <br />center line of McFadden Street as said center line is shown on the map <br />of Tract No. 1676 recorded in Book 49, page 6 of Miscellaneous Maps of <br />said County South 89° 15' 00" West 2187.12 feet to the point of begin- <br />ning. <br /> <br />Containing 16.37 acres. <br /> <br /> <br />
