RESOLUTION NO. 55--144 EXPRESSING COUNCIL INTENTION TO INITIATE AND REQUESTING THE HECIASSIFICATION OF PROP- ERTY FROM R-1 TO M-1 DISTRICT. WHEREAS, HERETOFORE, the County of Orange established district classifi- cations on a triangular piece of property, between South Main Street and Newport Road Northerly to the Southern limits of the City of Santa Ana, largely as M-1 and classified the property along Newport Road and South of Dyer as M-1 classi- fication, and WHEREAS~ the Council of the City of Santa Ana has~ this da~ adopted an ordinance annexing certain property designated by the name of "WIEGANDAND MATTHEWS ANNEX" to the City of Santa Aha, which said property is under escrow agreement with the Byron Jackson Co. for the location of a proposed electronics plant, and which said property seems ideally suited to M-1 uses. NOW~ T~EFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby expresses its intention to initiate a change in district classification, and hereby requests that the Planning Commission of the City, after study, post Notices of Hearing and proceed to consider a Change of Dis- trict Classification on that certain property described as: Beginning at an angle point in the Southerly Boundary of the City of Santa Ana described as the intersection of the Southerly extension of the East line of the Seccombe Addition to Dyer as shown on a map thereof recorded in book 8, page 17 of Miscellaneous Maps, Official Records of Orange County, California, with the North line of Seccombe Tract as shown on a map thereof recorded in book 8~ page 89 of said Miscellaneous Maps and running thence South 89° 13' 55" East 1243.41 feet along said City Boundary and said North line and the Easterly extension thereof to the Northwesterly line of Irvine Subdivision as shown on a map thereof recorded in book l, page 88 of said Miscellaneous Maps, said Northwesterly line being also the center line of Newport Avenue; thence South 39° ~9' 25" West 106.5~ feet along said North- westerly line and said center line; thence continuing along said North- westerly line and center line Seuth 39° 48' 15" West 1593.61 feet to an intersection with the Easterly extension of the South line of said Seccombe Tract; thence North 89° 04' 15" West 816.02 feet along said extension and South line to the Southwest corner of said Seccombe Tract; thence North 2° 18' 30" East 1321.68 feet along the West line of said Seccombe ~ract to the Northwest corner of said Seccombe Tract; thence South 88v 51' 10" East 442.90 feet along said North line of said Seccombe Tract; to the center line of Harbor Road; thence continuing along said North line South 89° 13' 55" East 165.00 feet to the point of beginning. Above described parcel is as shown on a Record of Survey recorded in book 29, page 7 of Records of Survey of said Official Records of Orange County, from R-1 to M-1 District.
