<br />WHEREAS, the Boundary Commission of Orange County, California, has approved
<br />
<br />the description of certain real property as herein set out for the purpose of an-
<br />
<br />nexation aa d the Planning Commission of Santa Arm has approved the annexation of
<br />
<br />said territory; and
<br />
<br />WHEREAS, the owners of said real property have filed a petition with the
<br />
<br />Clerk of the Council, requesting that the City of Santa Ana, California, annex
<br />
<br />said real property, stating that the same is uninhabited, consenting in writing
<br />
<br />that said real property may be taxed to pay any indebtedness or liability of
<br />
<br />said City contracted prior to such annexation;
<br />
<br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa
<br />
<br />Ana hereby declares its intention to annex all of said territory under the pro-
<br />
<br />visions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939 and finds and
<br />
<br />hereby declares that said territory is deemed uninhabited since it had less than
<br />
<br />12 registered voters residing in it on July 7, 1955, the date when said petition
<br />
<br />was filed, that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Aha, California,
<br />
<br />lies in the County of Orange, and is described as:
<br />
<br /> Beginning at the intersection of the Westerly line of Standard
<br />Avenue, 60.00 feet in width, as described in a deed to Orange County,
<br />California, and recorded October 22nd, 1930, in Book h23, page 368
<br />of Official Records, with the South line of Section 18, Township 5 South,
<br />Range 9 West, S.B.B. & M., thence Easterly along the South line of said
<br />Section 18, and along the boundary line of the City of Santa Ana to the
<br />common corners of Sections l?, 18, 19~ and 20, Township 5 South, Range
<br />9 West, S.B.B. & M., thence South along the West line of said Section 20,
<br />5 chains; thence Easterly along the boundary of the City of Santa Ana
<br />to an angle point in said boundary line, thence Southerly a distance of
<br />~930.OO feet more or less to a point on the North line of Delhi Road
<br />~0.00 feet in width, said point being a distance of 266.9h feet, more
<br />or less, Westerly measured along said North line of Delhi Road from
<br />the Center li~m of Ne%~ort Avenue, said Newport Avenue being 60.00 feet
<br />in width, thence Westerly along the Northerly line of said Delhi Road
<br />1592.00 feet, more or less, to the Easterly line of McClay Street, said
<br />line being a distance of 25.00 feet measured at right angles East from
<br />the center line of said McClay Street, thence Northerly along the Easterly
<br />line of said McClay Street lO.C0 feet, more or less, to the Easterly
<br />prolongation of the Northerly line of Delhi Road, thence Westerly along
<br />the Northerly line of said Delhi Road and its Easterly prolongation a
<br />distance of 622.25 feet more or less to the Easterly line of land
<br />described in a deed to Union Iron & Steel Co., a partnership, recorded
<br />January l~th, 1952 in Book 2273, page ~6~ of O~ficial Records of Orange
<br />County, California, thence Northerly along the Easterly line of said land
<br />of Union Iron & Steel Co. a distance of 699.3 feet more or less to the
<br />Southerly line of Tract No. 68~, as shown on a Map recorded in Book 20,
