R~OL,~TIO~, JO. 55-~61 AI~N~,I~r'~'~L.~.~T.O_~W XO. <h 2~ ~T_~ OF EAST FIRST ?~S, hePetofore, on the 202h da} of ~cembe~, 19~, ~h~ City Council of the City of Santa Aha, bI Resolution No. mequested ~hat the CountI of 0,~ange gPan~ to s~id Oity, aid out of the Co~ty's apportio~ent of the Hi.way Users Tax ~nd in amount of $~.025.00 for the purpose of improving and widentn~ East Firmt Street from the Santa Fe railroad tracks to the East City Limits; ~d '~S. said Resolution ~de no request that any portion of said f~ds be approved for the acquisition of necessary ri~t of way for said street widening; and EE~, the portion of said f~ds heretofore used under County approval for said street widening work has been the s~ of $40,757.08, leaving an ~used balance of the ~o~t requested in ~o~t of $3,267.92; and ~S, the cost of acquiring the necessary ri~t of way for said street widening far exceeded said remaining balance; NOW. ~E~FORE. ~ IT RESOL~D: ~at ~e City Co~ctl of the City of Santa Ana hereby ~ends said Resolution No. 54-251 to include a request that the Board of Supervisors of the Co~ty of 0ra~e find that the necessary acquisition of right of way for the widening of East First Street as hereinabove and in said Resolution No. 5~-251 set out, is in the general Co~ty interest and that said Board of Supe~isors hereby approve the pa~ent of said remaining s~ of $3,267.92 to be applied against the acquisition of ri~t of way as sho~ on the Plans and Specifications submitted by said City to the Hi.way Department of ~e Co~ty of 0r~ge. BE IT F~T~ ~SOLV~: ~at the Clerk of the Council is hereby instructed to fo~ard two certified copies of this Resolution to the Hi.way Department of the Co~ty of Orange for submission to said Board of Supervisors for their consideration of the request herein contained.
