RESOLUTION NO. 55-277 AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CLERK OF THE COUNCIL TO EXECUTE ESCROW INSTRUCTIONS AND DEED CONVEYING ciTY PROPERT SOnD AT THE C0 NCIL H nO NOVE ER 7, 1955 ~HEREA~, heretofore the City of Santa Ana published notice that certain property owned by the City of santa Aha would be offered for sale at the Council meeting to be Held November 7, 1955 under the conditions in such notice sst out; and WHEREA~, upon the opening of the bids and calling for oral bids from the floor, it was determined that JOHN C. HURLE~ and MARJORIE R. HURLEY were the highest bidders for said property, they havir~ bid the sura of $10,000.00 for said property; NOW, ~EREFORE, BE IT R~SOLVED: ~hat the Mayor and the Clerk of the Council are hereby authorized and directed to sign escrow instruc- tions and a deed in the name of the City granting that certain real property in the City of Santa Aha, County of Orange, State of Cali- fornia, described as: ~hat portion of Lot 10 of the Bates Tract, as shown on a Map thereof recorded in Book 1, at Page 96, of Miscellaneous Record Maps, records of said Orange County, described as follows: Beginning at the Northeast corner of said Lot 10, thence South 0~ 38' 10~ West along the Easterly line of said Lot 10, distant 91.74 feet to a point, said point being on the center line of Ba~er Street, ~hence North 89° 26' 00" West, distant 30 feet to the true point of beginning, thence South 0o 38' 10" West, distant 15~.75 feet to a point, thence South 89° 56' 00" West, distant 114.60 feet to a point, thence North O° 33' 10" East, distant 158.02 feet to a point, thence South 89° 26' 00" East, distant 114.83 feet to the true point of beginning. Reserving unto the Grantor an easement across and through the Northerly 8 feet thereof for the construction, maintenance, enlargement, and repair of a water main or mains. Bearings and distances are as shown on a licensed Surveyor's Map filed in Book 30, Page l0 of Records of Survey in the Office of .the County Recorder of said Orange County, to JOHN C. HURLEY and MARJORIE R. HURLEY, husband and wife as Joint tenants, and to place the same in escrow to be recorded and delivered to said Grantees when the escrow Agent holds $9,000.00 for delivery to the City of Santa Aha, $1,000.00 having been paid outside of escrow; the City to pay the normal seller's expense in relation to said escrow.
