RESOLUTION NO. 55-306 GIVING 2~OTICE OF PROPOSED AN~XATION TO THE CITY OF SANTA Ai~ OF ~tAT CERTAIN UNInhABITED TERRITORY DESCRIBED HEREIN ~D DESIGNATED "ROSE ANi~EX" AND GIVING NOTICE OF TI~E AND PLACE FOR HEARING OF PROTESTS THERETO WHEREAS, the Boundary Commission of Orange County, California has approved the description of certain real p~operty as herein set out for the purpose of annexation and the Planning Commission of Santa Ana has approved the annexation of said territory; and WHEREAS, the owner of said real property has filed a petition with the Clerk of the Council, requesting that the City of Santa ~ua, California annex said real property, stating that the same is unin- habited, consenting in writing that said real property may be taxed to pay any indebtedness or liability of said City contracted prior to such annexation; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby declares its intention to annex all of said territory under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Ter- ritory Act of 1939 and finds and hereby declares that said territory is deemed uninhabited since it had less than 12 registered voters resid- ing in it on December 5, 1955, the date when said Petition was filed, that said territory is contiguous to the City of Santa Aha, California, lies in the County of Orange, and is described as: That portion of the Northeast Quarter of the Northeast Quarter of Section 25, Township 5 South, Range l0 West, 8.B.B. & N., described as follows: Beginning at a point in the East line of the said Section. 25, said point being located 475.00 feet South O ~ ~ 0 39 45 West from the Northeast corner of said Section 25, said point of beginning being on the City Limit line of the City of 3anta Ana; ~unning thence South 0° 39' 45" West 150.00 feet along the East line of said Section 25, being along the City Limit line of the City of Santa Ana; thence North 89° 20' 15" West 322.00 feet; thence North 0° 39' 45" East 150.00 feet along a line parallel with the said East line of said Section 25; thence South 89° 20' 15" East 322.00 feet to the point of beginning. Said bearings and distances are as shown on Record of Survey 30/9 filed in the Office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California. That said Council hereby designates "ROSE ANNEX" as an appro- priate name for said annexation.
