Com, Bldg, & applicant <br />Melvin & Doris Maxwell <br /> <br />RESOLUTION NO. 56-30 GRANTING A VARIANCE ON APPLICATION <br />NO. 731 WHERE THE PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED DENIAL <br /> <br /> WHE~EA~, by Resolution No. 922, the Planning Commission, <br />after due hearing, recommended that the Variance as requested by <br />Application No. 731 be denied; and <br /> <br /> WHEREA~, the City Council of the City of Santa Aha, after con- <br />sidering all of the facts, disagrees with the denial of the said <br />Variance; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br />City of Santa Aaa hereby grants a Variance to affect the property <br />described as Lot #ll, Tract #581 as shown on map in Book 19, Page 37 <br />of Miscellaneous Maps of Orange County, located at the Southwest cor- <br />ner of Anahurst and South Flower Streets to allow the installation <br />and building of a shallow instructional type swimming pool, dressing <br />rooms and such equipment as is necessary to operate a swimming pool <br />plus a residence over the garages and dressing rooms for the giving <br />of swimming instruction under the following conditions: <br /> <br /> 1. That off-street parking be provided to accommodate at <br />least 6 standard size passenger cars. <br /> <br /> 2. That the off-street parking area be blacktopped. <br /> <br /> 3. That not more than one sign be displayed, the area of which <br />shall not exceed more than 12 square feet and which said sign shall <br />be unlighted and of the dead letter type. <br /> <br /> 4. That any outdoor lighting be so arranged that the source <br />of the light will not be visible from the streets and so that the <br />beam will not be thrown upon the streets or the adjoining properties. <br /> <br /> 5. That curb and gutter and paving between said curb and <br />gutter and existing pavement, and sidewalk be constructed on both <br />South Flower Street and Anahurst Street frontage, all to City stand- <br />ards. <br /> <br /> 6. That the pool be entirely enclosed. <br /> <br /> <br />
