RESOLUTIOH NO. 56-164 DETERr.[INING TXAT <br />NORE THAN SIXTY PER CEz[T OF AHEA iIAVE <br />SIGNED PETITION TO ~AIVE DEBT LIMIT PRO- <br />CEEDING <br /> <br /> F~!EREAS, heretofore the property owners of certain property <br />in Delhi District of Santa Aha have obtained signatures to a petition <br />requesting the City Council of the City of Santa Aha to initiate <br />proceedings to provide sidewalks, curbs, pavement, driveway entrances, <br />grading, and appurtenant work where necessary, to bring the named <br />streets up to City standards, and to do said work and levy assese- <br />ments therefor, and issuance of bonds to cover said work and inci- <br />dental expenses, under the provisions of the Improvement Act of <br />1911, Division 7, of the Streets and !tighways Code, ~ud further <br />waiving the provisions of The Special Assessment Investigation, <br />Limitation and ~ajority Protest Act of 1931, Division 4 of the <br />Streete and Highways Code, State of California; and <br /> <br /> ~IEREAS, upon the filing of said petition with the Clerk of <br />the Council, the City Council directed that the same be checked <br />against the last equalized assessment roll of the County of Orange <br />to determine whether owners of land within said area in sufficient <br />number had signed said petition; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, said report has now been received showing that the <br />City of Santa Aha owns approximately 22.9 per cent of ~e area in <br />said District, and that the City Council duly authorized the Nayor <br />to eign eaid petition for and on behalf of the City of Santa Ana, <br />and said petition was thereupon so signed; that it was then deter- <br />mined that the o~mers of land of more than 60% in area of the <br /> <br />property subject to assessment <br />signed said petition, that is, <br />signed, <br /> <br />for said proposed improvement had <br />that o1.~2~ of said owners had so <br /> <br /> NOW, THE~F0~, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana hereby finds, determines and declares that a <br />petition requesting improvements as hereinabove referred to has <br />been filed with the Clerk of the Council; that the o~ners of 61.~2~ <br /> <br /> <br />
