Nead (Variance - 7-16-56) <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 56-198 GRANTING VARIANCE WHERE <br /> PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDED DENIAL <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, upon Variance Application No. 804, the Planning <br /> Commission after notice and hearing, as required by law, recom- <br /> mended that the requested variance be denied; and <br /> <br /> ~HEREAS, the City Council of the City of Santa Ana, after <br /> study, hearing, and consideration, finds that special circumstances <br /> here exist; that this property is deprived of privileges possessed <br /> by other properties in the same district and vicinity; and that the <br /> granting of the requested variance with the conditions imposed would <br /> not result in material damage or prejudice to other properties in <br /> the same vicinity because of the location and circumstances sur- <br /> rounding the property covered hereby, <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of <br />the City of Santa Ana, after the hearing of argument and study of <br />the facts involved, hereby grants a variance to permit the use, for <br />a radio-television repair and service shop, of the garage located <br />at the rear of property located in the City of Santa Aha, County <br />of Orange, State of California, ~nown and numbered as 1230 ~est <br />Fairview Avenue, and described as Lot l, Block C, Tract No. 603, <br />together with the right to maintain one unlighted sign on the front <br />of said property, which sign shall not be closer than thirty feet <br />to Magnolia Avenue, and shall not exceed twelve square feet in total <br />area, on the further conditions as follows: <br /> <br /> 1. No access to said shop or business shall be provided or <br />permitted on Magnolia Avenue except that the property owner may use <br />the driveway to enter and leave his premises. <br /> <br /> 2. The only access to the shop shall be as shown on the <br />plot plan submitted by applicant. <br /> <br /> 3- All other conditions and statements made in the applica- <br />tion or on said plot plan shall be conditions of this Variance, so <br />far as they are in any way restrictions upon the use. <br /> <br /> <br />
