RESOLUTION NO. 56-234 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF <br />THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, CALIFORNIA, <br />DETERMINING THAT THE PUBLIC INTEREST <br />AND NECESSITY DEMAND THE ACQUISITION <br />AND CONSTRUCTION OF A CERTAIN MUNI- <br />CIPAL IMPROVEMENT AND MAKING FIND- <br />INGS RELATING THERETO. <br /> <br /> The City Council of the City of Santa Ana, <br />California, DOES HEREBY RESOLVE, DETERMINE AND ORDER <br />as follows: <br /> <br /> Section 1. That the public interest and <br />necessity demand the acquisition and construction by <br />the City of Santa Ana of a certain municipal improve- <br />ment, to wit: a public library building with vehicle <br />parking therefor and the planting and landscaping of <br />the library grounds, including the acquisition of <br />furnishings, fixtures, equipment and other property <br />necessary therefor. That the estimated cost of said <br />municipal improvement is the sum of $700,000. <br /> <br /> Section 2. That said municipal improvement <br />requires an expenditure greater than the amount allowed <br />for it by the annual tax levy. <br /> <br /> Section 3. That said municipal improvement is <br />necessary and convenient to carry out the objects, purposes <br />and powers of the City of Santa Aha. <br /> <br /> <br />
