RESOLUTION NO. ~6-2~1 AUTHORIZING AN ACTION <br />IN EMINENT DOMAIN TO ACQUIHE CERTAIN PARCELS OF <br />REAL PROPERTY FOR THE EXTF~NSION OF DELHI ROAD <br />W~STERLY TO HARBOR BOULEVARD, AND DECLARING THE <br />NECESSITY THEREFOR <br /> <br />WHEREAS, Delhi Road right-of-way has been acquired by the <br /> <br />City of Santa Aha between Fairview Road, also knovm as 01d Newport <br /> <br />Road, and Harbor Boulevard, with the exception of a short section <br /> <br />between said two streets, and it is essential that said street be <br /> <br />opened for traffic to connect Delhi Road as it presently exists <br /> <br />through to Harbor Boulevard; <br /> <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of <br /> <br />the City of Santa Aha does hereby find and determine that the pub- <br /> <br />lic interest and necessity require that Delhi Road be opened between <br /> <br />Fairview Road, also known as Old Newport Road, and Harbor Boulevard, <br /> <br />as shown on a map thereof on file in the office of the Department <br /> <br />of Public Wo~ks and herein referred to for greater detail, and <br /> <br />further require that said City do have, take, and acquire an ease- <br /> <br />ment for street purposes over and through that certain land in <br /> <br />the County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br /> An easement for street purposes over only that portion <br /> vested in the grantor herein, of the following described <br /> property. Said property being a strip of land 60 feet <br /> in width the center line of which is described as follows: <br /> Beginning at the intersection of the center lines of Delhi <br /> Road and Old Newport Road and running thence South <br /> 87° 42' 15" West 1868.62 feet along the North line and its <br /> Easterly extension of Lot 3 in Tract No. 1013 as shown on <br /> a map thereof recorded in Book 33, Page 36, Miscellaneous <br /> Map, Records of Orange County, California, to the North- <br /> west comer of said Lot 3, and the beginnio~ of a tangent <br /> curve, concave Southerly; thence Westerly and Southwesterly <br /> along said curve, having a radius of 1000 feet through a <br /> central angle of 18° 59' 43" an arc length of 331.~1 feet <br /> to a tangent line; thence South 68° 42' 32" West 940.35 <br /> feet to a tm~gent curve concave Northerly, having a radius <br /> of 1000 feet; thence Southwesterly and Westerly along said <br /> curve through a central angle of 20° 01' 13" an arc distance <br /> of 349. 2 feet to a point on the East line of Lot ?, Tract <br /> No. 102~ as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 33, <br /> Page 33, ~..tiscellaneous ~aps, Records of said Orange County, <br /> 306.47 feet Northerly from the Southeast corner of said <br /> Lot ?. <br /> <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the City Attorney be and he is <br /> <br />hereby ordered and directed to bring an action in the name of the <br /> <br /> <br />
