RESOLUTION NO. 56-299 OF TH~ CITY COUNCIL OF <br />SANTA ANA, C~LT~ORNIA, REQUESTING APPOINTMENT OF <br />JAMES B. STODDARD TO THE VACANCY ON THE SANTA ~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the m~intenance of the water supply for the cities and <br />peoples of Orange County is the most vital problem facing said cities and <br />peoples, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, a vacancy now exists on the Board of the Santa Ana Regional <br />Water Pollution Control Board ~nd Mr. James B. Stoddard, a member of the <br />City Council of the City of Newport Beach~ California, is a consulting <br />engineer in the field of water pollution and chemical engineering. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFOEE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of <br />Santa Aha hereby endorses and recomuends to the Executive Committee of the <br />Orange County LeAgue of Cities and to Honorable Goodwin J. Knight, Governor <br />of the State of California, the appointment of James B. Stoddard to fill the <br />vacancy now existing in the Santa Ana Regional Water Pollution Control Board <br />of Region 8. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That a copy of this resolution shall be for- <br />warded by the Clerk of the Council to the office of the Governor~ Sacramento~ <br />California. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOP'I~JD by the City Council of the City of Santa Ana at <br />its regular meeting held on the 19th day of ..
