City Council met in regular session. <br />Meeting called to order by the Mayor. <br /> <br />Present: Trustees <br />Absent: Trustees <br /> <br />Each member of the City Council having received copies of <br />the Minutes of December 21, 1950, further reading of the <br />Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of <br />Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried. <br /> # <br /> <br />In Re Communication was read from Stanley Reinhaus expressing appreciation <br />Communication <br />Stanley Reinhaus to the City Engineer for the white center line which has been placed <br /> <br />in the center of Santa Clara Avenue, and on motion of Trustee Chandler <br /> <br />White center <br />lines on streets <br /> <br />seconded by Reed and carried, communication was received and filed.. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, the City <br /> <br />Engineer was instructed to paint white center lines on as many of the <br /> <br />Courtney R. Chandler, Virgil H. Reed, <br />Allen A. Mandy. <br />W.J.Cheney, John W. Martin Jr. <br /> <br />streets as is possible, for the purpose of safety, and that a complete <br /> <br />In Re <br />Release bond <br />Tract No. 1458 <br />(Roy Russell) <br /> <br />In Re <br />Release bond <br />Tract No. 1365 <br />~Floyd B. Rogers) <br /> <br />In Re <br />Release bond <br />Tract No. 1363 <br /> (Lloyd G. Welch) <br /> <br />In Re <br />Sale of tax- <br />deeded lot <br /> <br />In Re <br />Beverage <br />Application <br /> <br />In Re <br />Taxicab Driver <br />Application <br /> <br />In Re <br />Request <br />D.A.V. <br /> <br />survey be made to determine amount of money needed to complete the <br />Job. <br /> <br />Communication was read from City Engineer advising that improvements <br />within the boundaries of Tract No. 1558 have been satisfactorily <br />completed, and on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and <br />carried, bond submitted by Roy Russell, in the amount of $1500.00, <br />was ordered released. <br /> <br />Communication was read from City Engineer advising that improvements <br />within the boundaries of Tract No. 1365 have been satisfactorily <br />completed, and on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and <br />carried, bond submitted by Floyd B. Rogers, in the amount of $5,000.0( <br />was ordered released. <br /> <br />Communication was read from City Engineer advising that improvements <br />within the boundaries of Tract No. 1363 have been satisfactorily <br />completed, and on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and <br />carried, bond submitted by Lloyd G. Welch and John H. Rudasill, in <br />the amount of $9,500.00, was ordered released. <br /> <br />Communication was read from County Tax Collector advising that the <br />County has an offer to purchase at public auction tax delinquent <br />property described as Tract No. 353, N 12 ft. Lot 5, Block 5, and on <br />motion of Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried, Clerk was <br />instructed to notify Tax Collector that the City consents to the sale <br />of such property. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, the <br />notification of the State Board of Equalization of alcoholic beverage <br />application made by Annie M. Cordero, 1211 E. 1st St., was received <br />and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, the <br />application of Orville Hatfield to drive taxicabs, was received and <br />granted. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Chandler and carried, the <br />request of the American Disabled Veterans to show a mobile unit in <br /> <br />Council Chamber <br />Santa Ana City Hall <br />January 5, 1951. l:O0 P.M. <br /> <br /> <br />
