Assessment <br />District (Cypress, <br />Orange & Maple Sts.) <br /> <br />Zoning Ordinance. M.L.Motter, 1647 East First Street protested the <br />set-back line effeoting two feet of his property. Numerous property <br />owners requested info~mation on the various set-back lines and all <br />questions were satisfactorily answered by the City Engineer. On <br />motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, all protests <br />were overruled and Attorney instructed to prepare Ordinance to establl~ <br /> <br />set-back lines. <br /># <br />Communication was read from the Planning Commission recommending denial <br />by Resolution No. 393, of Amendment Application No. 82 of Burr Huff, <br />for reclassification f~om R-1 to C-1 of a parcel of land approximately <br />300 feet north of Edinger Street on the west side of Bristol Street. <br /> <br />Communication from Sunshine Homes was also read requesting a review of <br />the action of the Planning Commission. Attorney Robert Barnes, <br />representing the Marine personnel' residing in Toe Tract, objected to <br />the reclassification of the property. On motion of Trustee Hunter, <br /> <br />seconded by Dahl and carried, the recommendation of the Planning <br /> <br />Ocmmission was approved and reclassification of the property from R-1 <br />to C-1 District was denied. <br /> <br />Attorney Royal Hubbard appeared before the Council objecting to the <br />manner in which the Planning Commission approved the proposal to re- <br />classify from R-1 and R-2 Districts to less restrictive districts, a <br />portion of Lot A of the Dresser Tract. Communication and Resolution <br />No. 394 of the Planning Commission were read recommending that a part <br />of Lot A Dresser Tract bounded on the northeast by the Freeway right- <br /> <br />of-way, on the west by the railroad right-of-way; on the south by the <br /> <br />M-2 District and on the north by East Seventeenth Street be reclassifi~ <br /> <br />as follows, and, that the portion lying between the center line of <br /> <br />Seventeenth Street and a line parallel thereto and distant south 200 <br /> <br />feet therefrom be reclassified as C District and that the remainder be <br /> <br />reclassified as M-1 District. On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by <br /> <br />McBride and carried, a notice cf public hearing was ordered published <br /> <br />setting date as Sept. 17th, 1951, relative to rezoning to the M-1 <br /> <br />District, all property described in Resolution No. 395. <br />. <br />Joseph E. Havenner, Manager, Public Safety Department, Automobile Club <br />of Southern California read a Parking Survey report and on motion of <br /> <br />Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, a letter of thanks was <br /> <br />ordered directed to the Public Safety Department for the excellent <br /> <br />report and survey. <br /> <br />A.L.Oliver, 215 East Delhi Road appeared before the Council requesting' <br />information as to status of proposed assessment district as requested <br />in a petition from the owners on Cypress,, Orange and Maple Street <br />north of Delhi Road. Communication was read from the City Engineer <br />advising that 158 owners signed correctly constituting 55.85% of the <br /> <br />total parcels. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Jerome and <br />carried, the matter was referred to the City Administrator to report <br />at the next meeting. <br /> <br /> <br />
