Board <br /> (appointment of <br />Plumbing Inspector) <br /> <br />Actuaries. <br /> <br />Communication was read from Civil Service Board stating that a request <br />for a War Emergency Appointment may be authorized, not to exceed the <br />duration of the emergency, plus six months, in the ease of Frank <br /> <br />Robinson, temporary Plumbing Inspector, and on motion of Trustee Reed <br /> <br />seconded by Chandler and carried, the Building Inspector was Instruc~ <br /> <br />In Re <br />Communication <br />S.A.City Schools <br /> <br />to follow the ruling of the Civil Service Board. <br /># <br />The report of the committee was read stating that additional land <br /> <br />has been acquired by the Santa Ana City Schools for street purposes <br /> <br />in connection with the Glenn L. Cheney. <br /> <br />Each member of the City Council having received copies of <br />the Minutes of January ~, 1951, further reading of the <br />Minutes was dispensed with and approved on motion of <br />Trustee Chandler, seconded by Reed and carried. <br /> <br />In Re This being the time set for hearing on vacation and abandonment <br />Hearing to <br />Abandon Alley <br /> <br /> of a <br />portion of an unnamed alley in Block 75, Santa Ana East, and there <br /> <br />being no written or oral protests, on motion of Trustee Chandler, <br /> <br />seconded by Martin and carried, the Attorney was instructed to prepare <br /> <br />a Resolution Ordering the Abandonment of alley for final approval of <br /> <br />In Re <br />Bids <br />Cast Iron Pipe <br /> <br />the City. Council. <br /># <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Chandler, <br /> <br />seconded by Martin <br /> <br />and carried, the <br /> <br />Clerk was authorized to open bids for the furnishing of 5000 feet of <br /> <br />12" and I0,000 feet of 6", Class 150, Bell and Spigot, Cement Lined, <br /> <br />Cas~ Iron Water Pipe, manufactured in accordance with Federal Specifi- <br />cations, WW-P-d21, Type I or Type II, as follows: <br /> <br /> <br />
