<br />It was moved by Trustee Martin, s~conded by Reed and carried, that the
<br />Chairman of the Board~e presented~with a gold key to the City of
<br />Santa Aha. ' Judge Franklin G. West, ac~ing as Master of Ceremonies,
<br />made the presentation of the gol~ key to Mayor Allen A. Mandy.
<br />
<br />Mayo~ Mand~ expressed his apprebiation for the cooperation he had
<br />
<br />received from the City employees during the past four years.
<br />The Mayor administered the oath of office to Erma Keeler, City Clerk.
<br />The term of office as a member of the City Council of W.J.Cheney,
<br />
<br />Courtney R. Chandler, John W. Martin Jr., Virgil H. Reed and Allen A.
<br />Mandy, having expired, they adjourned sine die as a City Council of
<br />the City of Santa Aha, on motion of Trustee Reed, seconded by Martin
<br />and carried.

<br />Joh~ L. McBride, William Jerome, Orson H. Hunter, Milford W. Dahl
<br />and Courtney R. Chandler, having been duly declared elected as members
<br />of the City Council of the City of Santa Ana for the ensuing term of
<br />four years, and each member qualified by taking and subscribing to the
<br />oath of office, met as the Ci.tyCouncil. Meeting called to order by
<br />the Clerk.

<br />A motion was made by Trustee Dahl, seconded by McBride t~hat Courtney
<br />R. Chandler be nominated as Mayor of the City of Santa Ana. A motion
<br />
<br />was made by Trustee McBride that the nominations be closed. Motion
<br />
<br />carried.

<br />At this time, the Clerk gave the oath of office to the following
<br />elective officers:

<br /> Boyd A. Hershey, City Marshal, known as Chief of Police,
