<br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was accepted and Tentative
<br />Map of Tract No. 1529 approved with the street names as changed.

<br /> was read, considered, designated Ordinance No. 1320 and passed by the

<br /> On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, the
<br /> Minutes of the Joint Outfall Sewer Executive Board meetings held at
<br /> Anaheim, April 5 and April 19, 1951, were received and referred to
<br />
<br />the Finance Committee.

<br /> Communication was read from Secretary, Board of Trustees, Charles W.
<br /> Bowers Memorial Museum stating that it was the recommendation of the
<br />
<br />Board that W.H.Spurgeon be appointed to fill the vacancy created by
<br />the termination of the administration of R.B.Newcom. On motion of
<br />Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the communication was
<br />
<br />taken under advisement.

<br />Communication was read from Administrative Supervisor, Santa Ana Filter'
<br />
<br />Center, Aircraft Warning Service, extending an invitation to the Council
<br />
<br />to visit the Santa Ana Filter Center on Wednesday, May 16, 1951, at
<br />
<br />7:30 P.M. and on motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Hunter and carrie~,
<br />communication was received and filed.

<br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, communica-
<br />tion from Orange County Water District in regard to plans and spec-
<br />ifications currently proposed to Sustain, through periods of use of
<br />
<br />imported water, the rights to pump.underground water which have been
<br />acGuired by cities, and requesting that earnest consideration be giveni~
<br />to views as outlined, was received and filed.
<br />
<br />Communication and Resol.ution were read from Metropolitan Water Distric$
<br />with respect to cerSain annexations to Santa Ana which might preclude
<br />the annexation of the Orange County Municipal Water District to Metro-~!
<br />politan Water District on or before December l, 1951. On motion of
<br />Trustee McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, the communication andi
<br />Resolution were received, filed and Clerk instructed to notify the
<br />Metropolitan Water District that the Council will cooperate in every
<br />
<br />way with their requests.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, 8ec6nded by Hunter and carried, the request
<br />of the Chief of Police that Detective Lieutenant Richard Bradley be
<br />permitted to attend the International Association for Identification
<br />Conference to be held in Laguna Beach, May 23, 2~, 25 and 26, 1951,
<br />was granted.
