Teachers <br />Credit Union <br /> <br />In Re <br />V arian ce <br />Hazel Holz - <br />Eunice Black <br /> <br />In Re <br />Variance. <br />Disabled American <br />Veterans <br /> <br /> such violations for the purpose of protecting the City when purchasing <br /> rights-of-way, and to report at the next meeting. <br /> <br />A memorandum was read from the Park Superintendent advising that B.P. <br />Simpson, former tenant of Unit #8-1 Casa de Santa Aha is delinquent <br />in rent payments in the amount of $77.00 and recommending that the <br />account be removed from the books. On motion of Trustee Hunter, <br />seconded by Dahl and carried, the recommendation was approved and <br />account ordered closed. <br /> <br /> Communication was read from the City Engineer recommending that the <br /> City acquire three pieces of property deeded to the State for <br /> delinquent taxes and described as a portion of Russell Avenue, <br /> Townsend Street and an extension of a 20 ft. alley owned by the City <br /> from Main to Cypress. On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Dahl <br /> and carried, the recommendation was approved and property Ordered <br /> acquired by the City Engineer for street purposes. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Hunter and carried, proper <br />officials were authorized to execute agreement dated May 3, 1951, <br />between the City and South Coast Construction Company for the con- <br />.struction of a fire station at the northeast corner of South Broadway <br />and Edinger Street, with regard to occupancy of the building. <br /> <br />~It was moved by Trustee Dahl and seconded by Jerome, at such time that <br />the Council receives a w~itten report from the Building Department <br />that the Fire Station is completed, the proper officials be authorized <br />to sign the contract and the sum of $1350.00 be withheld until cer- <br />tain items are installed. On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by <br />Hunter and carried, the motion was tabled. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Hunter and carried, the <br /> Department was instructed to furnish necessary proof, by next meeting, <br /> that the Fire Station is completed according to plans and sp <br /> with certain exceptions as set forth in the agreement. <br /> <br /> On motion of T~ustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br /> ation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance granted to <br /> Orange County Teachers Credit Union to permit use of any apartment on <br /> a lot approximately 6~ x 123.66 feet at the northeast corner of <br /> Broadway and Tenth Streets as a business office handling funds of <br /> members of the Credit Union and their immediate families, without <br /> exterior changes to the existing building, subject to certain <br /> conditions. <br /> <br /> On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Dahl and carried, the <br /> recommendatipn of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br /> denied of Hazel Holz and Eunice Black to permit a one-operator beauty <br /> parlor in a dwelling on the southeast corner of Washington Avenue and <br /> <br /> Flower Street. <br /> ,, <br /> On motion of T~ustee Hunter, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br /> recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br /> denied of Disabled American Veteransm Salvage Bureau to allow slee <br /> <br /> <br />
