Clara, <br />on W. by Spurgeon St. <br /> <br />In Re <br />Minutes - Joint <br />Outfall Sewer <br /> <br />In Re <br />Communication <br />Chamber of <br />Commerce <br /> <br />I~ Re <br />Requests <br />Santa Ana Firemen's <br />Benevolent Assoc. <br /> <br />In Re <br />Communication <br />(Mrs. Helen Clark) <br /> <br />In Re <br />Communication <br />(T.W.Oglesby) <br /> <br />In Re <br />Release bond <br />Tract No. lh72 <br /> <br />In Re <br />Ordinance No. 1322 <br />Civil Defense and <br />Major Disasters <br /> <br />On motion Of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Dah1 and carried, the <br />recommendation of the Planning Commission was approved and variance <br />granted to C.F.Bobzin to permit a two bedroom residence on front of <br />lot although a dwelling already exists on rear of lot at 1035 West <br />Pine Street, subject to certain conditions. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Jerome and carried, Map Tract <br />No. 1503 covering improvements of streets bounded on the north by <br />Santa Clara Avenue, on the w~st by Spurgeon Street and on the south by <br />Tract 1472, being between French and Spurgeon Streets and lying south <br />of Santa Clara, was approved, bond filed by Bert Huff, in the amount <br />of $7,500.00 accepted and officials authorized to sign map. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br />Minutes of the Joint Outfall Sewer Executive Board meeting held at <br />Anaheim, April 30, 1951, were referred to the Council as a committee <br />of the whole.and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Dahl, seconded by Hunter and carried, communicati <br />from Chamber of Commerce reco~mnending that money received by the City <br />when bonds are sold by the County Sanitation Districtsbe earmarked for <br />capital improvements of sanitary sewers and storm sewers, was received <br />and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, seconded by Hunter and carried, the <br />requests of the Santa Ana Firemen~s Benevolent Association, Inc. for <br />use of the Municipal Bowl on July 4, 1951 for the purpose of staging <br />the Third Annual Fireworks Display and to place posters on the light <br />standards in the business area, were approved. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Dahl and carried, communicati <br />from Mrs. Helen Clark requesting that speed limit be reduced on the <br />Santa Ana Boulevard, was received and filed. <br /> <br />Communication w~s read from T.W.Oglesby setting forth his method of <br />conservation of water and on motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by <br />Dahl and carried, the Clerk was instructed to write a letter of <br />commendation to Mr. Oglesby expressing the Council's appreciation for <br />his efforts. <br /> <br />Communication was read from the City Engineer advising that improve- <br />ments within the boundaries of Tract No. 1572 have been satisfactoril <br />completed and on motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Jerome and <br />carried, the bond filed by The General Casualty Company cf America, <br />for Bert Huff, in the sum of $7500.00, was ordered released. <br /> <br />On recommendation of the Major Disaster Committee and on motion of~ <br />Trustee Jerome, seconded by Dahl and carried, the following Ordinance <br /> <br />entitled: <br /> <br />"An Ordinance relating to Civil Defense and <br /> Major Disasters and repealing City Ordinance <br /> No. 1299" <br /> <br />was read, considered, designated Ordinance No, 1322 and passed as an <br /> <br />emergency Ordinance by the following vote: <br /> <br />Ayes, Trustees <br /> <br />Noes, Trustees <br />Absent., Trustees <br /> <br />William Jerome, J.L.McBride, Orson H.
