<br />City Advertising
<br />
<br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee Hunter,
<br />seconded by McBride and carried, the bid of the Register Publishing
<br />Company was accepted for publication of legal advertising in Saturday
<br />issues only. T.H.Givens, publisher cf the.'$anta Ana Independent
<br />stated that if the Register Publishing Company rescinded their bid,
<br />relative,he cancellation clause, the Santa Ana Independent will take
<br />over the advertising for the balance of the year.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Dahl and carried, Notice of
<br />Hearing of John W. Clayton, owner Santa Ana-Garden Grove Bus Lines to
<br />increase fares between Santa Ana and Huntington Beach Boulevard, was
<br />received and filed.
<br />
<br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, Resolutii~n
<br />of the Board of Supervisors, dated June 5, 1951, reference grant of
<br />aid in the sum of $40,473.00 out of the County's apportionment of the
<br />California Highway User's Tax Fund to be used exclusively for the
<br />purpose of the improvement of Bristol Street from Wilshire Avenue to
<br />Third Street, was approved and Clerk inetructed to forward certified
<br />
<br />copy of Minute Order to the Board of Supervisors.

<br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Hunter and carried, request
<br />of M_rs. Annie G. Fowler for a ten minute parking zone at 331 West 17th~
<br />St., was referred to the Chief of Police and City Engineer with power
<br />
<br />to act.

<br />On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Dahl and carried, request of
<br />First Federal Savings and Loan Association for two ten-minute parking
<br />zones at 506 North Broadway, was referred to the Chief of Police and
<br />
<br />City Engineer for recommendation.

<br />On recommendation of the committee and on motion of Trustee Dahl,
<br />seconded by McBride and carried, the following Resolution entitled:

<br /> "Resolution establishing time limit parking
<br /> zone under Section 9 of Ordinance No. 1030"
<br />
<br />establishing two ~en-minute zones on the west side of North Broadway,
<br />was read, considered, designated Resolution No. 4097 and passed by the
<br />
<br />following vote: :
