7 7 <br /> <br />Tract No. 696 ~nd portions of abandoned alley, and on motion of <br /> <br />Trustee McBride, seconded by Dahl and carried, the recommendation of <br /> <br />the c~mmittee was accepted and Record of Survey Map, being p~operties <br />located between Cedar and Standard and St. Andrews Place on the south, <br /> <br />In Re <br />Variance <br />Commer$1al <br />Properties, Inc. <br /> <br />was approved. <br /> <br />Communication and Resolution of the Planning Commission was read on <br /> <br />variance application ~of Commercial Properties, Inc. for a parking lot. <br />Joe Crook, ltl1 South Birch Street protested the granting of variance <br />to Commercial Properties, Inc, reference type of fence whi6h is to be <br />built on the proposed parking lof~on a parcel approximately 120 x 630 <br /> <br />ft. at the southwest corner of Pomona St~eet and Broadway. E.C. <br /> and Co., <br />Missildine, Manager, Sears, Roebuck/and William Patch spoke in favor <br /> <br />of granting the variance and stating that the parking lot is to be <br /> <br />used for the convenience of the employees. A motion was made by <br /> <br />Trustee McBride and seconded by Jerome that the recommendation of the <br /> <br />Planning Commission be approved and variance granted subject to <br /> <br />conditions as set forth in Planning Commislion Resolution: <br /> <br />Roll Call Ayes Trustees <br /> Noes Trustees <br /> <br />Absent Trustees <br /> <br />William Jerome, J.L.McBride~ <br />Orson H. Hunter, Milford W. Dahl, <br />Courtney R. Martin to Permit use of a dwelling on the northwes~ <br /> <br />In Re <br />R~port <br />Joint Outfall <br />Sewer <br /> <br />In Re <br />Uniform allowance <br />Auxllliary police <br />officers <br /> <br />corner, or rear, of premises known as 906 South Birch Street. <br /> <br />Report was read from General Manager, Joint Outfall Sewer on curtailme~ <br />of handling sewage of the Standard Oil Company and the Waste Water <br />Disposal Company, and on motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Jerome <br />and carried, the report was received and filed. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Jerome and carried, an amount <br />of not more than $20.00 per man, for not to exceed fifty auxilliary <br />police officers was approved, to be paid as a reimbursement to help <br />defray the cost of uniforms upon proof that applicant has made the <br /> <br />In Re <br />Request <br />P~rking space <br /> (L.D.Coffing Co.) <br /> <br />expenditure and not more than one such allowance to any one officer; <br />said sums to be paid from the Civil Defense Budget. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Hunter and carried, the <br />request of L.D.Coffing Co. for a limited parking space at 406 East 6th <br />Street, was referred to the City Engineer and Chief of Police with <br /> <br /> In Re <br /> Request <br />Loading zone <br />~(Gulledge Machine Wks) <br /> <br />power to act. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee McBride, seconded by Jerome and carried, the <br />request of Gulledge Machine Works for a fifty foot loading zone at <br /> <br />1428-30 West Fifth. Street, was referred to the City Engineer and Chief <br /> <br /> <br />
