Until we have a change in Govermment to a Charter form
so an elective officer is appointive, and they can be appointed for
their ability to run an office, rather than their ability to get
votes, I can't go along.
2nd. I will not be a part in any raise unless all employees
of the City are treated equally and given a raise.
The man making $245. per month has to pay as much or more for
his living as the man making ~A00. per month.
3rd. We have a budget to follow and it is our duty to live
inside that budget. We .have now overspent $68,225. With a war in
view, we can't tell what we will be called on to do. I bellevue we
should hold the line on Government costs so therefor I vote ~No'."

It was moved by Trustee Chandler, seconded by Martin and carried,
that the Planning Commission be requested to initiate proceedings for

an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance to establish a "C" Zone on the

City's property located at the southeast corner of Anahurst and Broadway.
