Trustee Dahl not voting. <br /> <br />A petition was re~'~d signed by thirty-two residents and property owners <br />in the vicinity of South Patton and West Pine Streets requesting' that <br />"no parking" signs be erected. On motion of Trustee l~cBriae, seconded <br />by Dahl and carried, the request was referred to the Chief of Police <br />with power to act and Clerk instructed to notify first name on petition <br />of action. <br /> <br />The Minutes of the Orange County and Cities Civil Defense P~anning <br />Board, dated June 20, 1951, and communication dated July 24, 1951, <br />signed by the Fire Chief and Secretary, Orange County League of Cities,i! <br /> <br />were read, recommending that the suggested Operational Plan of the <br /> <br />Office of Civil~Defense, State of California be accepted. On motion <br /> <br />of Trustee Hunter, seconded by Jerome and carried, the Operational <br /> <br />Plan was approved and Clerk instructed to furnish the City Council withI <br />copies of th~ Minutes and communication. ~ <br />Communication was read from the City ~ngineer submitting escrow instrud~- <br /> <br />ions <br /> <br />Avenue,' covering properties owned by Herbert 0. Hyatt and Edith E. <br />Alsbaok, and for the rights-of-way on East 17th street between Main <br />Street and Santiago Avenue, covering properties ~ned by Ethel C. <br />McLeod, Willia C. Warne and Frank P. and Ann C. Silver,. <br /> <br />for the widening of East 17th Street from Santiago Avenue to Grand <br /> <br />On motion o~ <br /> <br />Trustee Hunter, seconded by McBride and carried, proper official was <br /> <br />authorized to sign escrow instructions with said persons for rights-of- <br /> <br />way. <br /> <br />On motion of Trustee Jerome, <br /> <br />seconded by Dahl and carried, proper <br /> <br />official was authorized to sign escrow instructions covering purchase <br />of Lot 6 in Block 8 of Palmers Addition, from Harry C. and Ruth Drown, <br />said property being located on South Sycamore Street adjacent to the <br /> <br />centre.1 Fire Station site at the southeast corner of Sycamore and,Walnut. <br />On motion of Trustee Hunter, seconded by McBride and carried, Map Tract <br /> <br />No. 1533 covering inprovements on the east side of Grand on 14th Streetll <br /> <br />was approved, bond filed by Walter X. and Donald E. Calland, in the <br />amount of $11,500.00 accepted and officials authorized to sign map. <br /> <br />A statement from the County Auditor was read fixing the total tentativeii <br />value of the City of-Santa.
