RESOLU£ION N0.57-19 OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF S~TA AI~A F~QUE~TiNG A GRANT FROM THE COUNTY <br />OF ORANGE FOR THE D.,YELOPMENT OF EDINGE~{ STREET <br /> <br /> ~, The City ,of Santa Ana desires to improve Edinger Street from <br />Bristol Street to Center Street; and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Edinger Street is an important East-West artery in the County <br />of Orange and of general County interest. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the Council of the City of Santa <br />Ana hereby requests the County of Orange to grant to said City aid out of <br />the County's apportionment of the Highw~y Users Tax Eund in amount of <br />$~L.025.00 to be used to aid said City in the improvement of Edinger <br />Street from the Bristol Street to Center Street and acquiring the necessary <br />rights-of-way, said improvement to consist of the widening of said street, <br />the construction of curbs, gutters and the paving of said street, all in <br />accordauce with plans and specifications to be submitted by said City to <br />the Highway Department of the County of Orange. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOL'~ED: That the Board of Supervisors of the County of <br />Orange is hereby requested to find that said work and acquisition of right-of- <br />way on Edinger Street in the manner provided is in the general County interest, <br />and said Board is further requested to make the appropriation as herein <br />requested and to make said funds available to said City. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That by this Resolution the City of Santa Ana <br />agrees to go forward with said work and to provide for the costs and expense <br />for such work over and above the said figure of $~4,025.00, and further agrees <br />that upon acceptance of this request and upon the making of said grant of aid <br />by the County, this Resolution ~and the Resolution of the Board of Supervisors <br />m~.Wd_ug said grant and any and all laws applicable thereto shall constitute the <br />agreement between the County of Orange and the City of Santa An~. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED: That the Clerk of the Council is hereby instructed <br />to forward two certified copies of this Resolution to the Highway Department of <br />the County of Orange for submission to the Board of Supervisors with their <br /> <br />comments thereon. <br /> <br /> <br />
