7O RESOLUTION OF AWARD. No.593. Whereas, the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Ana, California, did in open session on the seventh day of January, 191~, publicly open, examine and declare all sealed proposals or bids for doing the following work in said City of Santa Aha to-wit: That all of that unpaved portion of West Fourth Street lying between the West line of Bristol Street on the East and the East line of Artesia Street on the West be paved with a 4 inch concrete base and a 1~ inch asphaltic wearing surface , said work to be done under the Specifications Nc.gO which aforesaid Specifications were prepared by the City Engineer of the City of Santa Ana, California, and were adopted and approved by the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Ana, on the 22nd -~ day of 0ctober,191?, as Specifications for asphalt concrete pavement to be constructed in the City of Santa Ana, California, and which suforesaid Specifications remain on file in the office of the City Engineer of the City of Santa Ana, California, and under the provisions of said Specifications the aforesaid work shall be constructed, and which said ~pecifications ae referred tO herein are made a part of this Resolution, and it is further provided herein that the work thereon to be done shall be in a~cordance with the plans, profiles and cross-sections prepared for the aforesaid improvement by the City Engineer of the City of Santa Ana, Californ~a, and which said plans, profiles and cross-sections were adopted and approved by the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Aha, California, on the 22nd day of October,191?, and remain on file in the office of the City Engineer of the City of Santa Aha, California, and according to which plans, profiles and cross-sections the aforesaid improve- ment herein contemplated shall be done, excepting therefrom any of said work already done ~ the official grade, and further excepting from all of the aforesaid described work such portion ae is required by law to be kept in order or repair by the Pacific Electric Railway Company, a corporation, which corpora- tion conducts a street railway on the aforesaid portion of sa~d street, it being the intent of this proceeding to require the improvement of that portion of aforesaid street in like manner and material that the ease shall conform in all particulars to the pavement now completed and constructed on the afore said por- tion of the aforesaid street herein sought to be further impproved That the ~foresaid plans, profiles and cross-sections as hereto- fore referred to are hereby made a part of this Resolution. Resolved, that the said Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Ana, California, hereby rejects all of said proposals or bids, except that next herein mentioned and hereby awards the contract for
