RESOLUTION NO. 594. <br /> <br /> A Resolution of the city of Santa Ana, a municipal cor- <br />poration, incorporated under the laws of the State of Californii-~ <br />by the legislative branch of said city,being the Board of <br />Trustees thereof, determining and declaring that the public <br />interest and also the public necessity demands the acquisition <br />and construction of certain municipal improvements in the city <br />of Santa Ana, consisting of two bridges erected over and ex- <br />tending across that certain water course known as, named and <br />called Santiago Creek; <br /> And that the said bridges are necessary and convenient <br />tc carry out the objects, purposes and powers of the city of <br />Santa Ana; the cost of which will be too greet to be paid out <br />of the ordinary annual income and revenue of the said municipal- <br />ity. <br /> <br /> The Board of Trustees of the city of Santa Ana, a <br />municipal corporation, incorporated under the laws of the St~.te <br />of California, as the legislative branch of said municipal cor- <br />poration, do hereby resolve, determine and declare as follows:- <br /> <br /> Section 1, Resolved that it be and is hereby deter- <br />mined and declared by the Board of Trustees of the city of <br />Santa Aha, as the legislative branch of said municipality, <br />that the public interest and also the public necessity demands <br />the acquisition and construction in the city of Santa Ana of <br />certain municipal improvements to-wit:- two bridges, as <br />follows:- <br /> (a) The acquisition and construction of a bridge <br />composed of reenforced concrete erected over and extending <br />across that certain water course existing within the city of <br />Santa Ana known as, named and called Santia~D Creek, at the <br />place where said Santiago Creek intersect~in Street, a <br />public street in the city of Santa Aha. <br /> <br /> The acquisition and construction of said bridge <br />is necessary and convenient to carry out the objects, purposes <br />and powers of said municipality. <br /> <br /> The estimated cost of which public improvement <br />i~ the sum of thirty-eight thousand five hundred dollars. <br />($3g,500.O0) and which cost will be too great to be paid out <br />of the ordinary annual income and revenue of the city of <br />Santa Ans. <br /> <br /> (b) The acquisition and construction of a bridge <br />composed of wood and steel erected o~er and extending across <br />that certain water course existing within the city of Santa <br />Ana, known as, named, and called Santiago Creek, at ~he place <br />where said Santiago Creek intersects North Flower Street <br />(formerly Hannah Street) a public street in the city of Santa <br />Ana. <br /> The acquisition and construction of said bridge <br />is necessary mud convenient to carry out the objects, pus- <br />poses and powers of said municipality. <br /> <br /> The estimated cost of which public improvement <br />is the sum of seven thousand seven hundred dollars ($?,700.O0) <br />and which cost will be too great to. be paid out of the ordi- <br />nary annual income and revenue of the city of Santa Ana. <br /> <br /> Section 2. Resolved, that the objects and pur- <br />poses of the acquisition and construction of said municipal <br />improvements are as follows:- <br /> <br /> (a) The acquisition and construction of said bridge <br />to be erected over and extending across said water course, <br />to-wit: said Santiago Creek, at the place where said Santiago <br />Creeklintersect]~ain Street in the city of Santa Aha, is to <br />furnish, and provide _She public, and all perso~e~traveling <br />upon and along said~in Street, or using said~inStreet <br />as a street or highway for travel and transportation, a safe, <br />adequate and convenient means for passing over and crossing <br />said Santiago Creek. <br /> <br /> (b) The acquisition and construction of said bridge <br />to be erected over, and extending across said water course, <br />to-wit: said Santiago Creek, at the place where said Santiago <br />Creek intersects North Flower Street in the city of Santa Aha <br />is to furnish and provide the public and all persons travel- <br />ing upon and along said North Flower Street, or using said <br />North Flower S~reet as a street or highway for travel ~nd t~ans- <br />port ation a safe, adequate, and convenient means of passing <br />over and crossing said Santiago Creek. <br /> <br /> Section 3:- Resolved, that in order that the city <br />of Santa Ana pay the cost of the acquisition and construction <br />of said municipal improvements, theBSard of Trustees of said <br />city, as the legislative branch thereof, determine and de- <br />clare that the public interest and also the public necessity <br />demands that the bonds of the city of Santa Aha be issued and <br />sold for the purpose of raising money with which to pay the <br />cost of said bridges as follows:- <br /> <br /> <br />
