<br /> That the acquisition and construction o£ said municipal improvements is necessary
<br />convenient to carry out the ob;sots, purposes aud powers of said municipality, and to furnish
<br />and provide the people of said municipality and the public and all persons travelling upon and
<br />along said North Main Street or using North Main Street as a street or Highway for travelling
<br />and tr anspo~tation, a safe and adqquate thor~ughfa~e~

<br /> (h) Section g. Resolved that it be and that it ie hereby determined and declared by
<br />the Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Ana, Cdifornia, as the Legislative branch of said
<br />municipality that the public interest and aleothe public necessity demands the acquisition,
<br />re-constructing, repairing, and resurfacing First Street from Main Street on the West to the
<br />A. T. and Santa Fe Railway Tracks on the East, the same being a public street in the City of
<br />Santa Aha, California; that the estimated coet of ~ich improvement will be thirty thousand
<br />dollars ($30,000.00) and that the said municipality shall pay one-third of said expenditure
<br />and the share to be borne by the said municipality of said public improvement ~ the estimated
<br />sum of ten thousand dollars ($10,000.O0) and which cost will 0e too great to be paid out of
<br />the ordinary annual income and revenue of the City of Santa. Ana;

<br /> That the aoquisitlon,~re-construotion, repairing and re-surfacing o£ said portion of
<br />East First Street is necessary and ~onvenient to carry out the objects, purposes and powers
<br />of said municipality, to furnish and provide the public and all persons ;ravelling upon and
<br />alone said portion of East First Street and the City of Santa Aha, a safe and adequate means
<br />for travel and transportation.
<br />
<br /> (l) Section 9. Resolved that it be and is hereby determined and declared by the Board
<br />of Trustees of the Ci~ of San. ts Ana, California, ae the legislative body of said municipality
<br />that the public interest and s2~o the public necessity demands the acquisition and construction
<br />and public improvement of all those portions of the public highways and public streets of the
<br />City of Santa Ana, California, lying adjacent to and adjoining certain of the public schools
<br />and the public high schools of the City of Santa Ana, C~ffornia, the same, each and all being
<br />public streets in the Cityof Santa Ana, California, as follows, to-wit:

<br />"Polytechnic High School", "Washington School", "Intermediate School",
<br />"Lincoln School", "HcKinley School", "Fifth Street School", "Spurgeon
<br />School", "Roosevelt School", and"Jefferson School",

<br />and that the said municipality shall pay one-half of the whole coetof said municipal im-
<br />provement;
<br />
<br /> The estimated cost of said improvement is eighty thousand dollars (.$80,000.00) and the
<br />estimated eum to be paid b~ said municipality for said municipal improvement is forty thousand
<br />dollars ($40,000.00) and which co~t will be ~oo great to be paid out of the ordinary annual
<br />income an~ revenue of the City of ;anna Aha;

<br /> That the acquisition and construction of said improvement is ~ecesaary and convenient
<br />to carry out the objects, purposes and pow®rs of said municipality and to furnish and provide
<br />the people of Santa Aha, and the public and all persons travelling to and from am~dabout the
<br />public schools of said City of Santa ~na on said Streets and highways a safe and adequate
<br />and convenient means of transportation and travel along said porti.ons of said public streets.

<br /> (j) Section 10. Resolved that it be and is hereby determined and declared that the
<br />Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Ana, California a~ the legislative branch of said
<br />municipality, that the public interest and also the public necessity demands the acquisition
<br />and construction and laying of re-~nforced .concrete culverts on Second, Third , and Fourth
<br />Streets, the same being public Streets in the City of Santa Ana, California;
<br />
<br /> That the estimated cost of which public improvement is the sum of five thousand dollars
<br />($5,000.00) and which cost will be too great to be pal~ out of the ordinary income and
<br />revenue of the said City;
<br />
<br /> That the acquisition and construction of said ~t~lverts are necessary and convenient to
<br />carry out the objects, purposes and powers of said municipality in furnishing better and more
<br />sufficient means for the drainage of storm waters ~d rainfall and surface waters from Streets
<br />of said City/
<br />
<br /> Section 11. Resolved that in order that the City of Santa Ana, pay the
<br />cost of the acquisition,:~conetruotion of said municipal improvements the Board
<br />of Trustees of said City as a Legislative Branch thereof determine and declare
<br />that the public interest and also the public necessity demands the bonds of the
<br />City of Santa Aha, be issued and sold for the purpose of raising money with
<br />which to pay the cost of said municipal improvements as follows:
<br />
<br /> (a) For the acquisition and construction end extension of the Water~Wcrks System of t~e
<br />City of ~anta Ana, California in the sum of Thirty-three thousand dollars ($33,000.00).
<br />
<br /> (b) For the aoqulsition and construction of a (Fire Hall) building for municipal uses
<br />and equipment and apparatus for the Mire Department of the City of Santa Aha in the sum of
<br />forty-five thousand dollars ($45,000.00).
<br />
<br /> (c) For the extension of the sewers of the City of Santa Aha, the sum of twenty-eight
<br />thousand do~lars($2g,O00.O0).
<br />
<br /> (d) For the enlargement, remodeling, repairing, and necessary additional equipemtn
<br />of (City ~all) building for municlp~ uses of the City of Santa Ana, the eum~ ten thousand
<br />dollars ($10,000.00).
<br />
<br /> (e) For apparatus and equipment of the Street Department of said City, the sum of
<br />sixteen thousand dollars (~16, OOO.OO).
