WATER PIPE FOR THE <br />USE OF T~.E CITY'TO BE APPROVED BY THE BOARD OF TRUSTEFS. <br /> <br /> The Board of Trustees of the City of Santa Aha, California, <br /> does resolve and declare as follows: <br /> <br /> THAT WHEREAS, the Board of Trustees did on %r about the <br /> ~th day of September, 1920, advertise for 0ids for lgO0 feet of 6" <br /> class "B" Bell and Spigot, cast iron coated water pipe in 1~ foot <br /> lengths, weighing approximately 33 pounds per foot and <br /> <br /> WHEREAF, said bids ~re opened On or a~out the llth day <br /> of October, 1920 and the same not being satisfactory to s~id Board <br /> in that the same were too ~igh, and believing thm~ could purchase <br /> <br /> said suppligs cheaper in the open market did then and there reject <br />.any and all bids for ssid pipe, <br /> <br /> THAT WHEREA~, at this date it has been determined that <br /> said pipe can be purchased at a much lower value and cost to said <br /> C~ty, to-wit: at a price of $?5.90 per net ton of 2, O00 pounds <br /> <br /> f.o.b. Santa Aha ex war tax. <br /> <br /> wHEBEFORE, it is herein resolved that the Water Super- <br /> <br /> intendant of the City of Santa Aha Oe directed to enter into con- <br /> tract subject to the approval of the Board of Trustees of said City <br /> with the United States Iron Fipe and Eoundry Company for lgO0 feet <br /> of 6" class "B" Bell and Spigot, cast iron coated water pipe in 12 <br /> foot lengths, weighing about ~3.3 pounds per foot, total weight <br /> approximately 29.9? tons at $?5.90 per net ton of 2,000 ~ounds, <br /> f.o.b. Santa Ana ex war tax. <br /> <br /> The foregoing Re~olution was adopted by a four-fifths <br /> vote of the Board of Trustees of said City on the ~th day of ?eb- <br /> <br /> ruary, 1921.
