Greenleaf introduced a resolution.as follows J <br /> Whereas, the Board of Trustees did heretofore advertise for and <br /> invite bids to furnish the City of Santa Ana with one 2 or 2~ <br /> ton motor truck and <br /> <br /> Whereas, bids were duly received, considered and all re- <br />Jected by a vote of the five members of the Board of Trustees <br />at a meeting thereof held on the 21st day of November,.1921. <br /> <br /> Now therefore, be it resolved, that the Board of TrUstees <br />of the City of S~ta Ana declare and determine that in its <br />opinion there can be furnished to the City of s~ata Aha at a <br />lower price than in any of said bids set forth, in the open <br />market, one 2 or 2~ ton motor truck and that the City of Santa <br />Aha proceed to purchase the same in the open market. <br /> <br /> The r~solution was ordered filed, read, considered, and <br />upon~ c~ 1 of the roll passed by the following members of the <br />Board of Trustees; constituting more than four-fifths thereof: <br /> <br /> Ayes: Trustees J. (SEAL) <br /> City Clerk. <br /> <br />RESOLUTION N0.'754. <br /> <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE Bf~RD OF TRUSTEES OF THE CITY OF SANTA <br /> ANA~ CALIFORNIA, EXTENDING THE DUTIES AND POWERS OF THE BOARD <br /> OF PARK ~ MMISSIONERS. <br /> <br /> The Board of Trustees of the City of Santa ~na, <br /> <br /> California, does resolve and declare as follows: <br /> ~ection.1. <br /> <br /> Be it Resolved, that the Board of Park Commissioners, <br /> <br /> of the city of Santa Aha, California, in add tion to their <br /> several duties now defined that they be~and are hereby direct- <br /> ed and authorized to take charge of all streets, lanes, alleys, <br /> courts, places and park ways in the ciby of Santa Ana, now <br /> <br />open or dedicated or which may hereinafter be o~ ned or dedicat- <br />ed to public use whose grade has been officially established <br />and which have been graded in Conformance~therewith, that the <br />same may be plante~ with shade trees, along the e~ges.of the <br />sidewalk thereof and for the maintenance and care of same, to <br />prescribe the height and thickness and manner of.t~immi~g hedges <br />set out along the line of any street, lane, alley, court or <br />place dedicated to the public use whether graded or not, and <br />to recommend to the said Board the compelling 9f compliance <br /> <br /> <br />
