<br /> Whereas, the Board of Tr~:stees of the City of Santa

<br />of In~emtlon No.823 to order tl}e hereinafter described work
<br />to he done and improvement to. be made in said city, which
<br />Resolution of I6tention No. 823 was duly and legally published
<br />t'vlce in SANTA ANA Nfl LY EVENING EE~-ISTFR, a dM ly newspaper
<br />published and circ~:]ated in the City of Santa Ana, all as
<br />-~eq~fred by law and anl-ea~s by ihe affidavit of T. G.r,!cDonour,
<br />principal Clerk of the ~r{nters and publishers of said daily
<br />newspaper, and wl~fch affidavit was filed in the office of the
<br />Clerk of the city of Santa "ne on the 8nd day of September,
<br />1922, and now on fit~ t~ere~n; and

<br /> Whereas, after the passage a~d adoption of said
<br /> Reso!nt!on of Intention No. 823, the ~treet Superinte~dent of
<br /> the city of Santa Arm conspicuously posted along the lf~e of
<br /> the contemplated work and [m~,rovement, at not more than
<br /> 300 ft. in distance apgrt; a.~d 60 in all, notices of t?e
<br /> passase of Resolution of Intention No. BaS, headed - NOTICE
<br /> OF I~?PROVE}fE}IT, in manner, forte, and substance as provided
<br /> by]aw, and the work bein~ chargeable upon a district, also
<br /> conspicuously posted copies of said not,ce along all of the
<br /> open streets within such district, not more t~an 300 feet in
<br /> o'istance apart on each street, and did post on said open
<br /> S feets 96 notices, and on all said streets 156 notices; and
<br /> Whereas, tl}e Street Superfr'tendent ? f the City of
<br /> Santa ~ma com~nenc~.d to post tb~ said notices on tl:e 5th day
<br /> of September~ 19~2, and fully completed the post~ thereof
<br /> on %he 6th day of September, lgSS, more than ten days before
<br /> the.' day set for hearing protests or objections to the propose~
<br /> 'work and improvement, all as a~pears from the affidavit of
<br /> Edw. W. Dahl, Street Su?ri.~temdent of the C4ty of Santa
<br /> Aaa, filed ~n 'the office of t~-e Clerk of said city on the
<br /> 6th day of September, 19~; and now on file therelnl and
<br />
<br /> 'f.'hereas, the Board of Trustees of the city of
<br /> '.)ante Ama was duly in regular session at t~e council chamber
<br /> thereof at tt_~e boar of V:70 o~clock p.m. of Y-onday, ~he 18th
<br /> day of September, 19~2, being the day, hour, and place notice
<br /> of which was contained in the Resolution of Intention and
<br /> Notice of Improvement, w?en and where any and al! persons
<br /> having any Object,on to the proposed work or improvement
<br /> might appear before the Board of Trnstees and s~,ow cause why
<br /> said proposed imr, rovement s'not~nd r. ot bo carried out in
<br /> accordance with said Resolution of Intention;

<br /> said work made written or any protests against the rroposed
