Eesolved, that the city of Santa Ana hereby re- jects all of said proposals or bids except that hereinafter next mentioned, and hereby awards the contract for doing said work and improvement to the lowest responsible bidder therefor, to-wit: B. R. Ford, at the price named in his bid, as follows:- Item 1. The regrading to a subgrade and the laying of a five inch concrete Pavement with a belt finish wearing surface, complete with the furnishing of all necessary equipment and materfals on an estimate of 76567 square feet for the sum of Nineteen and three ei~ghths ($0.19-3/8) per square foot. Item 2. The trenching, furnishing, and laying of house branch sewers, from the main sewer to the curb line com- plete with the furnishing of all necessary equipment and materials on an estimate of 483 linear feet for the sum of Sixty cents ($0.60) per linear foot, The Clerk of the city of Santa Ana is hereby directed to post notice of this award with specifications -for five days on or near the council chamber door of the council chamber of the Board of Trustees of the city of Santa Ana, and also publish said notice twice in SANTA ANA DAII~ EVENING' REGISTER, a daily newspaper published and circ~lated in the c~ty of Santa Aha, hereby designated for that purpose by the Board of Trustees.
