RESOLUTION NO. 57-266 INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEXATION OF TERRITORY TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA~ DESIGNATING {fEAST OF PRENTICE PARK ANlfEX" AS A NA~:~ FOR SAID TERRITORY, AND GIVING NOTICE OF TIME AI~D PLACE OF HEARING OF PROTESTS THERETO WHEREAS, the Boundaries Commission of Orange County, California has approved the description of certain real property, hereinbelow set out for the purpose of annexation, and the Planning Commission of said City has recommended said ar~nexation; and ~{EREAS, the City Council of Santa Ana, California has acquired title to 71 percent of the value of the territory hereby proposed to be annexed, aud the remaining portion is owned by the State of Cali- fornia, and all of s~t d territory is wholly uninhabited, NOW, THEREFORE,BE IT ~SOLVED, that the City Council of the City of Ssata Ana hereby initiates proceedings for the annexation of the real property herein described for the following reasons: 1. The City of Santa Aha holds title to ~pproximately 71 percent of said area. 2. That the State of California holds title to the remaining 29 percent. 3- That no part of said territory is privately owned. 4- That the portion of said territory owned by the City cannot be beneficially used without access to sewer and water serv- ices and that said services may not be rendered outside the City Limits of Santa Ana by said City. BE IT FURTHER RE~]0LVED taat said City Council hereby declares intention to annex all of said territory under the provisions of the its ~nnexation of Uninhabited Territory ~ct of 1939, and hereby finds and declares that said territor~ is uninhabited, is contiguous to the City of Santa Ana, and said territory shall be taxed to pay any indebtedness or liability of said City contracted prior to this annexation, and that said territory lies in the County of Orange, State of California, and is described as: Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot i in Tract No. 24, as shown on a map recorded in Book 9, Page 23, ~iscellaneous ~aps of Orange County, California, said northwest corner being an angle point in the city boundary of the City of Santa Ana, California; and running thence North 89° 32' 4~" East along said City boundary and along the north line of s~d Lot i to a point in said north line 20.73 feet westerly from the northeasterly
