RESOLUTION NO. ~8-32 INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE ANNEXATION OF TERHI'~ORY TO THE CITY OF SANTA ANA, DESIGNATED "McFADDEN ~D LYON S. E. ANNEX", AND GIVING NOTICE O~~ TIME AND PLACE OF HEARING PROTESTS THERETO this Resolution; Santa Ana, lies described as: WHEREAS, the Boundary Commission of Orange County, California has approved the description of certain real property, as hereinbelow set out, for the purpose of annexation, and the Planning Commission of the City of Santa Ana has approved said annexation; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HESOLVED: That the City Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby initiates proceedings for the annexation of the real property herein described for the following reasons: 1. i'nat the area can best be served by the City of Santa Ana with municipal services of the highest caliber obtainable. 2. That the nearest municipal utility services to said prop- erty are those of the City of Santa Ana. 3. That said properties' owners have expressed their interest and desire for annexation to the City of Santa Aha. BE IT FU~T?~ER RESOLVED: r±hat the City Oouncil hereby declares its intention to annex all of said territory under the provisions of the Annexation of Uninhabited Territory Act of 1939, and hereby finds and declares that said territory is uninhabited within the meaning of Section 35303 of the Government Code on the date of the adoption of that said territory is contiguous to the City of in the County of Orange, State of California, and is Beginning at a point on the center line of McFadden Street 10.00 feet westerly from the monumented intersection of the center lines of said McFadden Street and the center line of Lyon Street, said point of beginning being an angle point in the City boundary of the City of Santa Ana, Csl ifornia; and running thence South 89° 00' 05" West along said City boundary and along said center line of McFadden Street 3~i.50 feet to an angle point in said City boundary; thence South 00° 32' 45" West along said City boundary 996.78 feet to the North line of Section 20, Township 5 South, Rau ge 9 ~est, San Bernardino Base and Meridian; thence departing from said City boundary, easterly in a straight line 1155.00 feet mo~e or 2ess to a point on the center line of Ritchie Street, which is 990.00 feet southerly, measured along said center line of Ritchie Street, from the center line of said McFadden Street; thence continuing easterly along the extension of last described course to the East line of Ritchie Street (50.00 feet wide);
