RESOLUTION NO. 50o-57 ESTABLISHING AN AREA IN WHICH <br />CITY EMPLOYEES APsE REQUIRED TO ~h~INTAIN ~EIR RE___S- <br />IDENCE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, heretofore the City Council adopted an Ordinance <br />establishing certain boundaries in which employees of the City of <br />Santa Ana were required to maintain their residence, which said 0rd- <br />inance was repealed by the adoption of ~u Ordinance establishing and <br />adopting the Civil Service Rules ~d Regulations of the City of Saa ta <br />Ana, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, under the authority of Section 2202 of the Sa~ ta Ana <br />~,Iunicipal Code which requires that all employees of the City of Santa <br />Ana shall reside within the City or within such areas borderiug the City <br />as shall be designated by Resolution by the City Council, and <br /> <br /> ~qEREAS, after study, the Personnel Board of the City of Sas ta Aha <br />has recormnended to the City Council the establishment of boundaries for <br />the residence of employees of the City, and the Council concurs in <br />their conclusions that said area should have definite, well established <br />geographical exterior limits and should include an area of approximately <br />a five-mile radius from the intersection of First Street and i~ain Street <br />in the City of Santa Ana; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: 'fnat all employees of the City <br />of Santa Ana shall establish their residence within the exterior bound- <br />aries hereinbelow set out within six months from the date they acquire <br />status as permanent employees of the City of Santa Ana, and shall there- <br />after maintain their residence within said exterior boundaries during <br />the time they are such employees of the City of Sa~ ta Ans. <br /> <br /> The area in which such employee residence is required is des- <br /> <br />cribed as all of the area bounded as follows: <br /> Starting at the intersection of Harbor Boulevard and Baker, then <br /> i~orth on Harbor to Gtsler, <br /> West on Gisler to Ward, <br /> North on Ward to Talbert, <br /> West on Talbert to Wright, <br /> Y,~orth on Wright and Brookhurst to Chapman, <br /> East on Chapman to Euclid, <br /> North on Euclid to Katella, <br /> East on Katella to ~est, <br /> North on West to Ball <br /> <br /> <br />
