RESOLUTION NO. 58-94 INDORSI~G THE PROSPERITY <br />PROGRA_~ OF ~]E SANTA A!~A CT~iBER OF COi~i~iERCE <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Chamber of Commerce of the City of Sm~ta Aha <br /> <br />has declared in favor of a prosperity program for our City', has <br />ta~.en the stand that the American free enterprise s'ysteF',~ has always <br />produced more goods and services for the citizens of this country <br />t~an any other syste~ at any time or place has ever afforded its <br />citizens, and tha~ this same ~nerican free enterprise syste~:~ will <br />continue to afford the best and the most of' everything for the cit- <br />izens of our country unless it is prevented from so doing by exter- <br />nal interference which inhibits its prooer Dunctioning, and <br /> <br /> ~HEREAS, t!~e City of Santa Ama lies at t~e heart and center <br />of t~e County of Orange, the most rapidly growing cotu~ty in the <br />United States of America, and is now one of the ackmowledged leaders <br />in industrial and commercial activity, and <br /> <br /> ~EEEAS, this is true because of the positive thinking and <br />active participation oI the citizens of the City of Smuta Aha, w~ich <br />has resulted in t~e City of Santa Ana remaining one of the few bright <br />spots of industrial and commercial activity and growth, while gen- <br />erally, the country is ex~?eriencing a recession and period of <br /> <br />negative thinking, fear and complainv; <br /> <br /> NOW, ~YtEN~?~O~J~, ~'~E IT RESOLVED, that <br />City of Ssauta Ana co~:~mends the citizens of <br />larly the Chamber of Commerce of this City, <br /> <br />the City Council of the <br />this City, and particu- <br /> <br /> for its outspoken <br /> <br />rational leader~ ~ip and its continued deter~ination to let the cit- <br />izens of our City know tha~ riley do have now, and can continue to <br />have, prosperity in t~,-eir City~ that our citizens may enjoy a pros- <br />perous and h~opy '~ouutM ~nd Nation as long as they believe !n them- <br />selves and i~ the system that has afforded them the wealth of serv- <br />ices and things which have raised this Nation from a peasant economy <br /> <br />to a ]~ation of luxury. <br /> <br /> <br />
