CERTAIN REAL PR~YPERTY FOR THE PURPOSE OF EET~HING <br />THEREON PUBLIC ~TILDtNGS, INCLUDING A PUBLIC LIBRARY <br />AND A POLICE DEPARTMENT BUILDING, AND DECLARING THE <br />PUBLIC NECESSITY THEREFOR <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Ana has determined the necessity <br /> for the const~ction of a new Public Library and a new building to <br /> house the Santa Ana Police Department, and the voters of the City <br /> have voted to issue bonds for the construction of said Library <br /> Building, and have voted to transfer $125,000.00, proceeds from the <br /> sale of Santiago Creek Improvement Bonds, approved by the electors <br /> of the City on April 9, 1946 to a fund for the construction of a <br /> building to house the Santa Aha Police Department, both buildings <br /> to be located in an area known as the Civic Center, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City has acquired by negotiation all of the <br /> property on the East side of Patton Street between Eighth and Sixth <br /> Streets, except the two parcels hereinbelow described, for use as a <br /> part of said Civic Center. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEHEFORE, BE IT ~SOLVED THAT: <br /> <br /> The City Council of the City of Santa Ana does hereby find, <br />deteEnine and declare that the public interest and necessity require <br />that the City of Santa Ana do have, acquire and take fee title in <br />and to that certain real property in the City of Santa Aha, County of <br />Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br /> Parcel 1. Lot 8 of the George W. Ford's Addition to Santa <br /> Ana as shown on a Map thereof recorded in Book 25, Page 62, <br /> Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, California. <br /> Parcel 2. Lot 3~ except the South 3 feet thereo~ and the <br /> South 1.5 feet of Lot 4 of the George W. Ford,s Addition <br /> to Santa Ana as shown on a Map thereof recorded in Book 25, <br /> Page 62, Miscellaneous Records of Los Angeles County, Cali- <br /> fornia. <br /> <br /> Said proposed building locations and the location of said Civic <br />Center is planned and located in a manner which will be most compat- <br />ible with the greatest public good and the least private injury. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED THAT: The City Attorney be and he is <br />hereby ordered to bring an action in the name of the City of Santa <br />Ana in the Superior Court of the State of California in and for the <br /> <br /> <br />
