BESOLUTION NO. ~8-276 AUTHORIZING COW~R.~NATION__ OF <br />CERTAIN F~AL PROPERTY FOR THE WIDENING OF BORCHARD <br />STREET ON THE NORTH SIDE, IMMEDIATELY WEST OF OLIVE <br />STREET <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Borchard Street, from Olive Street to <br />feet West of Olive Street, in the City of Sauta Aha, <br />adequate in width for the present and future demands <br />and <br /> <br />a point 136.71 <br />California, is in- <br />of traffic thereon, <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Borchard Street, from Olive Street to a point 136.71 <br />feet West of Olive Street is only one-half the width of a normal street, <br />snd the northerly one-half of a normal street does not there present- <br />ly exist, and it being necessary to open said street to a full normal <br />width to accomodate the present and future traffic in the area; <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council of the <br />City of S~a Aha hereby finds, determines and declares that: <br /> <br /> 1. Public interest and necessity requires the acquisition of <br /> <br />an easement for street right-of-way across the resl property he~-eln- <br />below described: <br /> <br /> 2. That said proposed improvement is located in a manner which <br />will be most compatible with the greatest public good and the least <br />private inJu~y. <br /> <br /> 3- That an action in Eminent Domain be filed to take and ac- <br />quire an easement for said pumposes and for all the purposes of a <br />public street over and thmough that certain real property in the <br /> <br />City of Santa Ana, County of Orange, State of California, described as: <br /> <br /> Beginning at a point on the Northerly extension of the West <br /> line of Lot 12 in Tract No. ?53, as shown on a map thereof, <br /> recorded in Book 22 at Page 39~ Niscellaneous Maps, Records <br /> of Orange County, California; bO feet northerly from the North- <br /> west corner of said Lot 12; thence South 0° 36' 40"oWest along <br /> said ex.tended West line 26.03 feet; thence South 89 32' 35'I <br /> East 13b. T1 feet; thence North 0° 36' 40" East 25.23 feet; <br /> thence North 89 12 35 West 136.?1 feet to the point of be <br /> ginning. All bearings and distances are as shown on a licensed <br /> surveyor,s map filed in Book 10, Page 43, of Record of Survey <br /> in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California. <br /> <br /> ~E IT FURTHER RESOIPED: That the City Attorney be and he is <br />hereby ordered and directed to bring an action in the name of the <br />City of S~ta Ana in the Superior Court of the State of California in <br />and for the County of Orange, for condemnation of ssi d property <br /> <br /> <br />
