RESOLUTION NO. 58-287 <br /> <br /> RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF ORANGE <br /> TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE ARTERIAL HIGHWAY FINANCING PROGRAM THE DEVELOPMENT OF <br /> SE~TEENT,,~ STREET <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Aha desires to improve Seventeenth Street from <br /> Tustin Avenue to East City Limits, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ Seventeenth Street is an important artery in the County of Orange and <br /> of general County interest, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Article 2 and Article 3~ Chapter 9~ Division 2 of the Streets and <br />Highways Code authorizes a County, if it so desires, to expend funds apportioned <br />to it out of the California Highway Users Tax Fund for aid to any City in the improve- <br />ment, construction or ~'repair of a street within a City~ and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors intends toy by appropriate action~ provide in <br />{he County budget of the Special Road Improvement Fund for the Fiscal Year 1958-1959, <br />a sum of money for the improvement of streets within the incorporated cities of the <br />County in accordance with the Orange County Arterial Highway Financing Program. <br /> <br /> NOW THEREFORE~ BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Aha hereby <br />requests the Board of Supervisors of the C~)unty of Orange to allocate to said City from <br />County Funds the amount Of $15,500.00, said amount %o be matched by funds from said <br />City, to be used to aid said City in the improvement of Seventeenth ~treet from <br />Iustin Avenue to East City Limits; said improvements to be in accordance with the <br />attached project statement: <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED %hat the Board of Supervisors of the C~unty of Orange is <br />hereby requested to find that said work on Seventeenth Street, in the manner provided~ <br />is in the general County interest. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, by this Resolution, the City of Santa Aha agrees <br />with the basic concepts of the Arterial Highways Financing Program; and further agrees <br />that its share of the cost of improvements and rights of way will be available for the <br />fiscal year 1958-1959. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Santa Aha at its regular meeting <br /> <br />held on the ..l?th day of November , 1958. <br /> <br />ATTEST: <br /> <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br /> <br /> <br />
