RESOLUTION NO. 58-288 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION OF THH COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SANTA ANA REQUESTING THE COUNTY OF (~ANGE <br />TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE ARTERIAL HIGHWAY FINANCING PR0~AM THE DEVELOPMENT OF HARB(IR <br />BOULEVARD ~ <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, the City of Santa Aha desires to improve Harbor Boulevard from the north <br />property line of Voit Rubber Company to the south property line of Standard Pressed <br />Steel Company, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS~ Harbor Boulevard is an important artery in the County of Orange and of <br />general County interest, and <br /> <br /> WHEREAS, Article 2 and Article 3~ Chapter 9, Division 2 of the Streets and Highways <br />Code authorizes a County, if it so desires, to expend funds apportioned to it out of the <br />California Highway Users Tax Fund for aid to any City in the improvement, construction <br />or repair Of a street within a City, and <br /> <br /> WH~RHA~, the Board of Supervisors intends to, by appropriate action, provide in the <br />County budget of the Special Road Improvement Fund for the Fiscal Year 1958-59 a sum of <br />money for the improvement of streets within the incorporated cities of the County in <br />accordance with the Orange ~unty Arterial Highway Financing Program. <br /> <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, B5 IT RESOLVF/) that the Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby <br />requests the Board of ~pervisors of the County of Orange to allocate to said City from <br />County Funds the amount of $9,500.00~ said amount to be matched by funds from said City, <br />to be used to aid said City in the improvement of Harbor Boulevard from the north <br />property line of Voit Rubber Company to the south property line of Standard Pressed <br />Steel Company; said improvements to be in accordance with the attached project statement; <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Orange is <br />hereby requested to find that said work on Harbor Bsulevard, in the manner provided, <br />is in the general County interest. <br /> <br /> BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that, by this Resolution, the City of Santa Ana agrees with <br />the basic concepts of the Arterial Highways Financing Program; and further agrees that <br />its share of the cost of improvements will be available for the fiscal year 1958-59. <br /> <br /> PASSED AND ADOPTED by the Council of the City of ~nta Ana at its regular meeting <br /> <br />held on the 17th day of November <br /> <br />ATTEST: ~ <br /> Clerk of the Council <br /> <br />, 1958. <br /> <br /> ~ Vice Mayor <br /> <br /> <br />
