G' ~•' - <br />RESOLUTIO<I N0. 58-310 DECLARIi1G INTENTION OF THE CITY <br />COU1dCIL TO CHANGE THE BOUNllAR Y LINES OF THE 'v'.ARDS AS <br />~~~'~'~UI'?LD BY SECTION 101.2 OF THE CHARTER OF Ti3E CITY <br />OF SAiv`PA APIA AvD FIXING TIIJIc: A1~D PLACE OF PUBLIC HEARING <br />THERE02d <br />WHEREAS, Section 101.2 of the Charter of the City of Santa <br />Ana requires the City Council to change ward boundary lines each <br />two years, vahen any ward varies at least ten per cent of registered <br />electors from any other ward, and such a condition now exists; and <br />said Charter flzrther provides that in laying out such wards no pre- <br />civet, at the time fixed by the Board of Supervisors, shall be divided, <br />and precinct lines have been so changed as to have ward boundaries <br />divide precincts; <br />NO'J1, THERI_:FORE, BE IT RESOLVED: That the City Council hereby <br />declares its intention to make changes in the boundary lines of wards <br />in the City so that no ward shall vary more than ten per cent from <br />any other ward in total number of qualified electors. <br />BE IT FUR`II''_sR RESOLVED: That x:30 P.nii. on January 5 _, <br />195 9 in the City Council Chambers, third floor of the City Hall, <br />Third and P~iain Streets, in Santa Ana, California, is the time and <br />place when and TrJhere any person having any interest in or objection <br />to the making of change in the ward boundary lines may appear before <br />the City Council and be heard thereon. <br />BE IT F'~?RTII=:R RESOLVED: That the Clerk of the Council is <br />directed to give notice of _oublication of this Resolution once a <br />week for two weeks prior to the date set for hearing. <br />PISSED AND ADOPPED by the City Council of the Cit;T of Santa <br />Ana at its regular meeting held on the hth day of Dece~be~, 1/~~8. <br />ATTEST: ~~~ ~ ~~ J~i,~.L <br />~ ~°. <br />CLERK OF THE COUNCIL <br />
