EXFIIBIT I <br />RESOLUTION NO. 5d-313 <br />RESOLUTII ON OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY GF SAMA ANA REQUESTING THE COUMY OF <br />GRANGE TO INCLUDE WITHIN THE ARTERIAL HIGHWAY FINANCING PROGRAM THE DEVELOP- <br />MENT OF MCCLAY STREET <br />WHEREAS, the City of Santa :Ana desires to improve McClay Street from Chestnut <br />Avenue to McFadden Street, and <br />WHEREAS, McClay 6treet is an important artery in the County of Orange and <br />of general County interest, and <br />WHEREAS, Article 2 and Article 3, Chapter 9, Division 2 of the Streets and <br />Highways Code authorizes a County, if it so desires, to expend funds apportioned <br />to it out of the California Highway Users Tax Fund for aid to any City in the improve- <br />ment, construction or repair of a street within a City, and <br />WHEREAS, the Board of Supervisors intends to, by appropriate action, provide in <br />the County budget of the Special Road Improvement Fund for the Fiscal Year 1959-1960, <br />a sum of money for the improvement of streets within the incorporated cities of the <br />County in accordance with the Orange County Arterial Highway Financing Progam. <br />NOW, THEHEFGRE, BE IT RESOLVED that the Council of the City of Santa Ana hereby <br />requests the Board of Supervisors of the County of Cxange to allocate to said City from <br />County Funds the amount of $14,750.00, said amount to be matched by funds from said <br />City, to be used to aid said City in the improvement of McClay Street from Chestnut <br />Avenue to McFadden Street; said improvements to be in accordance with the attached <br />project statement: <br />BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Board of Supervisors of the County of Grange is <br />hereby requested to find that said work on McClay Street, in the manner provided, is <br />in the general County interest. <br />BE IT FURTHER RESGLVED that, by this Resolution, the City of Santa Ana agrees <br />with the basic concepts of the Arterial Highways Financing Program; and further agrees <br />that its share of the cost of improvements and rights of way will be available for the <br />fiscal year 1959-1960. <br />PASSED AYD ADOPTED by the Council of the City of Santa Ana at its regular meeting <br />held on the 15th day of December , 1958. <br />ATTEST: j ~ ~ <br />_ _ _.. -/ <br />CL'ERA DF THE CGUNCIL MAYOR <br />
